Doses of artefacts selected from the acclaimed @bantamspast history revisited series publication, A History of Bradford City AFC in Objects by John Dewhirst
Going to the Match, Valley Parade #BCAFC#Bradford. I took this in 1987 from the top of Burlington Street. It was not long after the opening of the rebuilt stadium and City fans were still getting used to having a modern ground and facilities. #FloodlightFriday

Glad to hear @officialbantams commemorating Jack Tordoff who made massive contribution as #BCAFC director 1973-78 & 1983-90. His efforts ensured survival of professional football in Bfd after insolvency in 1983 and the fire disaster and through subsequent sponsorship by @JCT600
Tomorrow is the 135th anniversary of the first use of Valley Parade as a sports venue. #floodlightfriday The story of its origins and construction + features /photos about the ground's subsequent development to the present day can be found from this link: https://t.co/C1W9ye2doR

Horton Park station served the Park Avenue cricket / football ground and the adjacent park. It was used for football specials until 1952 and for goods until 1972 when the track was lifted. The concrete station sign is now at the entrance to Horton Park.
The remains of the former Football League ground at Park Avenue #bradford. Photos (taken this month) are of former turnstile entrance on Horton Park Ave and the terracing at the Horton Park End. The ground was abandoned after the 1972/73 season. @GroundhopperUK@GrimArtGroup
The final #bcafc matchday programme of the season on Saturday features the 2nd cover design from the 1981/82 season, introduced with the revival of the Bantams identity in Dec-81. NB The earlier Paraders design had featured a silhouette of Park Avenue as opposed to Valley Parade.
Book just arrived - Wool City Rivals, a history of football in Bradford #bcfc v #bpafc - thought to be the only history book to show all colourised photos. A wonderful addition to any collection. Ask for details. #woolcityrivals@bantamspast Action from City v Avenue Feb 1951
