For those who don't know, @GovRonDeSantis 's property tax "relief" plan is 99% EXACTLY the same as Mamdani's pied-a-terre tax. Know what the 1% difference between the 2 is? Mamdani is at least honest about what it is, whereas Florida lies through their teeth about it.:
1) Implement a focused tax on part-time residents, specifically focused on luxury properties
2) Take that money and use it to centralize control and power
3) Distribute that money as "free shit" for the preferred class.
Mamdani does it and they call it socialism (which it is). Ron does it and they claim it's something else because....reasons.
As someone who is subject to BOTH of these taxes (well, until a 10 year old takes ownership and homesteads Castle Bonk, because that doesn't sound insane /s)...100% the same thing.
RDS "conservatives" now think socialism is good when they do it.
@Doc3411@capybara1701@JahnDerp We're trapped in this endless super secret stealth mode. If I wasn't already dead inside, this investment would drive me insane.
@CalltoActivism Trump's stock moves make recently convicted short seller Andrew Left look amateur. This is another example of double standard in how market manipulation is overlooked for political elites vs Wall Street traders.
The rule of law is dead!
I stood at this pool, at both monuments and saw both reflections…
He’s a God damn idiot, as are the fools that support him. The “Reflection Pool” wasn’t designed by American architect Henry Bacon a hundred years ago to look like a swimming pool. It’s designed to have a darkened characteristics that has reflective qualities to reflect the monuments.
That way, the Washington Monument is reflective to you when at the Lincoln Memorial, and when at the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial is reflective to you.
It’s designed to enhance the grandeur of monuments, create an illusion of reflection, and inclusion of expansive space of unity.
He’s a tacky vulgar person that vulgarizes everything he touches. America isn’t becoming great, it’s becoming vulgar.

@DylanByers@JoJoFromJerz What’s are we doing here? Pedophiles evade justice while political leaders shield them, and journalists are fired for telling the truth. This isn’t the America I grew up in.
Epstein survivor Sharlene Rochard holds up a document outlining allegations against Donald Trump and others outside of the Bondi testimony room.
She is demanding that Bondi answer to why these investigative leads were never followed up on.
@NoLieWithBTC We always knew DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin was a dumb fuck hick. This just proves it.
So Americans returning from travels abroad can't land in their home towns because some dipshit hick says so?
@hawkeylover@marcuslemonis It's always been this way, yet Marcus dodges the third rail and constantly casts shade on the states earn and subsidize the most. We're not true capitalists and he ignores the endless subsidies and bailouts to the private sector. This thread is just noise and hypocrisy.
One of the biggest issues with the GOP today is that our voters have been lead to believe that what they see on Fox News or TPUSA and the likes, is conservatism.
It's not. It's populism.
I can promise you that Jessie Waters, Tucker Carlson, Sean Hanity, Candace Owens, Erika Kirk, and company have never read the founders of the conservative philosophy. They could not articulate Edmund Burke, Russell Kirk, or William Buckley.
The GOP believes that their sole goal is to "own the libs".
That's not governance. That's dominance.
Dominance has never had any relationship to liberty whatsoever.
It's authoritarian and not of "we the people".
Populism knows nothing of and rejects subsidiarity.
We need conservatism, actual conservatism, back in the GOP.
