The Washington State Department of Licensing has appointed Prosser Licensing LLC as a new subagency to serve the Prosser area, following a recommendation from Benton County Auditor, Brenda Chilton. Read more at: https://t.co/PNGFdWr4rF
Today the Benton County Elections Division certified the results of the November 2025 General Election.

This afternoon we conducted our post election audit.
Our political observers will select random batches of ballots for a hand count and the results are compared to the results of the machine count from the selected batch.
As always, the audit was successful!

Return your ballot early! Ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 4, and USPS reccomends mailing your ballot one week before Election Day.

As you fill out your ballot, be sure to get it returned on time! The United States Postal Service recommends mailing your ballot at least one week before Election Day. You can also use one of our many secure ballot drop boxes.

The Benton County Assessor, Auditor, and Treasurer’s Offices will be closed on Monday, October 13th, 2025 for staff training. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, October 14th, 2025.
It’s always special to attend a naturalization ceremony, witnessing new citizens take the Oath of Allegiance is inspiring. It feels even more meaningful today, on National Voter Registration Day, as we celebrate the power and responsibility of every new and long-time voter alike
The Benton County Auditor’s Office will be holding a special 3 day filing period for the offices that did not have anyone file during the regular filing period in May! Filing opens tomorrow at 8:30AM.
