This is how you create readers. Mum was waiting for a friend and sat reading. Doesn't matter what the book is, children are still hearing language, connecting words. It's not a child's book but the baby was engaged.

Packed with charts, diagrams, maps & detailed illustrations, this fascinating book explores the way plants & animals have adapted to survive. Readers can also explore themes via coloured arrows that link pages. #NaturalWorld 8-12 yrs @QuartoKids
A child reading a book about football tactics is reading.
A child reading a recipe book is reading.
A child reading the back of a cereal box is reading.

Silly and engaging, #FootballKicks is full of one-page comic strip visual jokes based around football. Aimed at 7-9 years, it's bound to have readers giggling. #schoollibrary#primary@QuartoKids

Large, sturdy #picturebook with lift-up-flaps to explore. Every double page has 2 short rhymes & a theme - garden, farm, seaside, forest, etc. Muted colours give a retro feel & there's lots to talk about. #LookBabyLook@NosyCrowBooks
