@TruOllie That's a cool picture! I've heard the anime, but this makes me curious to see if I would enjoy the series. Art imitates life, and sometimes life imitates art.
@TruOllie Turkiye showed their potential in the USA match. Although I don't know how motivated the USA was since their spot in the knockouts was guaranteed.
@TruOllie Coming out on top is always nice. Lots of athletes have a difficult time transitioning away from profressional sports because it's such a core part of their identity and they're losing that to father time.
@TruOllie I think I was a little slow to figure this out, but you purposely choose the characters based on their nationality. Rose is Italian and Sombra is Mexican! It just clicked with me! Very appropriate choices.
@TruOllie I read a news article that soccer has surpassed baseball as the USA's third most popular sport. American football and basketball hold the first and second postions.
@TruOllie The caribbean beats serving as the backdrop to the crowds of kids laughing and playing football is a nice reminder of how it can be both a physically competitive spectator sport, but also a fun time spent laughing with friends.
@TruOllie Pennywise can take any form, but there something extra disturbing about the evil clown archetype. Maybe I find the make-up of clowns to be unsettling and perturbing--something the concept of the uncanny valley speaks too. Side note, beautiful comparison graphic.
@TruOllie The world cup is starting to reach fever pitch now. I can't turn on the tv without a news segment on the upcoming games. There are lego sets of footballers and fifa labeled soccer balls showcased on the main ailes of the big box stores. The upcoming months are exciting!
@TruOllie And Disney has played such a big role in people’s appreciation for the power of animation. The theme parks bring a nice physical presence and experience to that!
@TruOllie I don’t know, but I just throw out some guesses off the top of my head. Red sonja, selene from underworld, looks like a female van helsing. The background looks Transylvania inspired. Looking forward to the reveal!
@TruOllie Brings back great memories, when I saw Samurai Pizza Cats when it was in the same cartoon block as Masked Rider. Thanks for spotlighting Kit Bodega's work!
