I just realized that Brayan Bello is this generation’s Clay Buchholz. He has the ability (and has shown as much) to be really good. But when he’s bad, he’s the worst pitcher in the league. I am living my 2015 nightmare all over again just with a different right-hander.
It's so weird being a fan of a team that can pitch and play defense, but can't hit to save its life. It's like we're good, but we suck at the same time.
Red Sox batters
Scored just 18 runs in the last 10 home games
1.8 runs per game
Impossible to win
Their fewest runs over a 10-game home stretch since 1917 or 109 years
I’ll keep harping - this offense is historically putrid
Roman Anthony, Caleb Durbin, Trevor Story, Mickey Gasper, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Andrew Monasterio, Connor Wong, and Masataka Yoshida combine to have the same amount of home runs at Fenway as Aroldis Chapman.
