October is when data meetings start to matter most. By now, we’ve taught, assessed, and gathered enough information to really see where our students are.
But data alone doesn’t change anything.
It’s not about numbers — it’s about needs.
And those needs won’t be met unless our instruction shifts as a result of what we see.
Let’s make sure our data conversations don’t stop at who’s behind.
Let’s talk about what we’re going to do — and do it.
They’re conversations about teaching, not just testing.
About action, not just analysis.
Because the data doesn’t move until we do.
It’s not critical. It’s reflective.
This is good teaching.
