My students have been:
1-engaged in book club discussions
2- Discussing how setting, cultural and historical affects plot and develops characters
3- Learning how authors use flashbacks and nonlinear plot elements
It is magical.
I took a road trip and listened to this book by @DanGemeinhart
-in the most beautiful way, it helped my grieving heart move a little closer to healing. There’s a lot of beauty in the world-and a lot of it is in this book. Can’t wait to share it with my students
“The truth as told by Mason Buttle” has got to be one of the most amazing books I’ve ever read. Can’t wait for my kids to read it! @LeslieConnor29 made magic with this ❤️
Just finished the third book in my book club set and I am filled with gratitude for the people like who worked to get these magical books for our kids. @kaaauthor wrote a book that made me openly sob in the best way possible.
We wrapped up our writing unit and reflected on how our authors purpose affected our writing moves. So proud of the work these students did and how they presented their stories!
I start my classes with cheers and jeers. Today, across the board- the cheer was that it was their day to eat in the courtyard. It’s so worth doing this for my kids to give them these smiles!!
Last week my students analyzed how authors use their purpose to write a story and used their own authors purpose to write fictional stories. So excited to see what they do with more genres this week!
