@mikeyerxa Congratulations! Loved watching 1G5G as a teen, such an important piece of pop culture to be part of! I still think about when Phillip cried because he just loves Christmas π₯²
My hot take is that most of us have not adequately processed the trauma of the pandemic. And our sprawling, unprocessed trauma chews away at our brains in myriad ways that make us anxious about why we canβt seem to live our lives as instinctively or as joyously as we did in 2019.
@dustbobgod 100%, the first week you're unemployed you can't collect anything, it's their processing time or whatever (I'm sure you know this) but because I happened to be out of the country that week they were like oh we will deduct from the following week then since you may not have fun
@dustbobgod That sucks, I'm sorry to hear that π waiting is the worst part in that scenario especially when you really need the help. You'd think after we pay into it for so long it would be easier to access...
Your child is murdered. Your community cries. Support comes in from all over the world. Your community claims theyβre UvaldeStrong. Baseball and basketball games, free events, bikes, parks. Your community relishes it.
You fight for accountability. Your community goes quiet.
@elonmusk My workers are union, have full healthcare + benefits like childcare help, and every one is paid a living wage. Proceeds go to community acts like tutoring underserved kids.
Youβre a union buster with an ego problem who pockets the change from underpaying and mistreating people.
@IsabelleRaghem@cbcnewsbc Happy for you and wishing you the best Isabelle! Everyone's experience is different, but leaving journalism was probably the best thing I ever did for my mental health. Cheers to putting yourself at the top of the priority list π
