Graham Platner isn’t just our best and only chance to beat Susan Collins, he’s a good, decent man who’s struggled and grown and is always trying to do better.

I hope everyone with reservations takes a little time to get to know the real life version of him, not what the algorithm throws in our faces. Clearly, that’s what so many people in Maine have done - from all different walks of life and political persuasions.

@NatetheLawyer I am not going to argue she did not retreat, the issue is it looks like she got out of her car with a gun and initiated the confrontation. She cannot claim "stand your ground"

@NatetheLawyer @MarkBra24595441 The Zimmerman case and this one are 2 totally different situations. Until more facts come out I don't see a "stand your ground" claim and self-defense is shaky. You never want to do anything that will continue the confrontation or try to provoke a reaction from someone.

@NatetheLawyer There are still way too many cuts in the video to say she has a valid self defense claim and you cannot hear anything that was said. If she did anything to keep that altercation going on she pretty much loses any shot at a "stand your ground" defense.

@TreyWallace Penn State even fired Joe Paterno along with other people. They also removed his statue. The NCAA imposed penalties on them although it is debatable that they really had the authority to do so because the rules never were meant to cover something like that.
