25 years ago, I delivered Maryville College’s commencement address and received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree.

This weekend, Tracy and I returned as @JenMorrisNature, CEO of @nature_org, delivered the commencement address to the Class of 2026.

Then and now, @MaryvilleC has reminded me what Appalachia teaches so clearly: people, place, health, and nature are deeply connected.

Maryville College baseball has received an At-Large berth in the 2026 NCAA Division III baseball tournament.

It’s the program’s fourth tournament appearance and the team’s first return trip to the tournament in the 150 years of Scot baseball.
