@timkawakami I think it’s reasonable to question their drafting strategy. So many whiffs recently, drafting a K in round 3, etc. Kyle is such a good coach that they may have multiple SBs if they were a better drafting team.
@LombardiHimself You’re missing the point. All three of those guys could end up being great, but they’re throwing away the opportunity to take other higher end swings by reaching for those guys. Could have a third rounder and Black, now it’s going to be a fourth and Black - bad business over time
@LombardiHimself We don’t, but you can still evaluate the process. For example, Moody was always a bad pick - you can find good to great kickers off the street. Tonight, it’s fine to like guys but reaching 3 rounds doesn’t feel like great process.
@CofRedCentral They played a ton of youth down the stretch and happened to win some games. Vancouver isn't guaranteed to get a game changing forward. We ended up fourth last and did a bunch of positive things for the future by committing to the rebuild. Stop whining that players tried.
@LaForgesVisor@CofRedCentral This is the appropriate balance. Having a strong culture for the young talent to grow up in is not something to whine about (CofRed + TWC), it’s a positive, but you don’t need to overpay for it.
@SethDavisHoops@ArizonaMBB@umichbball I’m not necessarily arguing but what about your experience drew you to that conclusion? One bad half followed by a complete demolition of the team that beat UM in the Big 10 final? I think UM is great but I’m curious what that in person experience revealed.
@HogfanChris Fouls were 3 to 2 with 11 minutes left in the half and then Arkansas proceeded to lose its mind. That call was absolutely a common foul but I'm sure that was a message from the refs. I don't agree with the call, but Arkansas was playing like a bunch of idiots.
@DJ_Dell@Trevor_Neufeld It’s way more common In basketball, but he was a puck/ball stopper. The puck just seemed to stick on his stick and all flow died. Seems like a good guy but I always kinda hated watching him play.
@KevinOConnor@JayYMavs AJ shot 25 FGs, 12 FTs and had 1 AST (5 TOs). He’s not a particularly fun watch either. Great prospect, great iso scorer, not a particularly great winning player yet. Not a coincidence they weren’t any better than last year.
@timkawakami Feels like he likes to showcase how tough he is, which I don't view as a positive. Of course you don't want to give players everything they want, but feels like they would be better served just to get business done more often than they do.
