What if the former U.S. military area in Yongsan became something entirely new?
Not another military base.
A permanent U.S.–Korea strategic district combining:
• security
• U.S. investment
• international business
• AI & finance
• housing & commercial development
• access to the Han River
The bigger question:
Can economic interests make a military alliance harder to abandon?
I explored the idea here:

@realDonaldTrump Reclaim the Yongsan US military base land, located in the heart of Seoul the most expensive in South Korea and make it US territory. Develop it into housing and commercial properties, and even sell green cards to protect our national interests.
@realDonaldTrump Mr. Trump, the United States should reclaim the 3 square kilometers of land that once housed the Yongsan US military base. There's no reason for the United States to return land it's occupied for 70 years to South Korea.
