Registered nurse & stroke researcher My focus is on the long term consequences of stroke and involves helping people to self manage and learn new skills.
Do you have #multiplesclerosis live within travelling distance of Glasgow and aged 20-35 or 45-60? If so we would love if you would take part in our study on ageing with #MS. The study involves testing your walking and strength and involves one visit to Glasgow Caledonian Uni 👏
Congratulations to Gillian Mead on her Barbro B Johansson award for stroke recovery at #WSC2023
We need to implement what we know works, and have more research into the priority areas - those set by the Stroke PSP.

Please help Tom with his research into concussion in Scottish youth sports. He's really interested in the management after the injury. We'd love players, parents, coaches, and clinicians (of any kind) to get involved. QR code to the survey below. @ENUHealthSocial@GCUReach

And we finish with a word cloud to describe how we found our away half day! Great session, thanks to everyone who presented and participated👏 lots of great ideas to take forward @GCUReach@GCUEngagement
Delighted to have Dan Taylor from @TheStrokeAssoc speaking to us about Patient public involvement in research from the third sector and funder perspective @GCUReach
Maggie Lawrence from @HeadsUpStroke @INSsPIRE_stroke takes the stage @esoc2023 to tell us results of a trial helping to ease anxiety and depression after stroke
@AvrilDrummond1#ESOC2023 also surprised no patient voices/ representation in any sessions or in the exhibition. Would like to see more sessions bring in the lived experience, impact on patient experience and outcomes, this would enhance the scientific context & add meaning & power to content 🤔
#ESOC2023 It is wonderful to be at this event but I am disappointed about the number of rehabilitation sessions again on offer AND the small rooms allocated. Stroke Rehabilitation needs a MUCH stronger profile here. Next year.........?
