@AntiJourno @UpTambourine I personally use semi-synthetic in all our cars. If you ask the car community about oil weights/brand/filters you'll open up a never ending debate lol. I prefer Motorcraft brand oil/filters but will use Castrol oil and WIX filtes. I believe SAE 5w-30 is what Nissan recommends.

@AntiJourno @UpTambourine That's pretty good. Ours had 280k when I did the timing and it was pretty easy. The paint was peeling and fading, but the only rust was driver's rear wheel well. VCT engines like clean oil, so make sure you stay on that and you should have relatively no issues.

@UpTambourine @AntiJourno Pathfinders mid-2000's and up have a rock solid 4.0 V6 and 4x4 system. Will eventually need a timing parts job and struts/shocks go faster than normal because of their curb weight.

@UpTambourine @AntiJourno Avalanches in MI: Rust eats them away pretty quickly. Faster than their Silverado counterparts. They have the 5.3 Vortex V8 that has a reputation for reliability but with a lot of oil consumption.
