@Meta_LS @DhruvMishra1607 @sentdefender Plus China has already warned Iran not to close the Strait. I have seen a few reports floating around that the IRGC did order the Strait closed, but I'd be surprised if that's true, and I'd be shocked if it lasted more than a few days if they do try to shut it down.

they wouldn't need to close the strait completely. Like the Houthis, they simply need to increase risks enough that shipping companies get skittish.

Some mines and a few patrol boat attacks would probably be enough to jam up the strait for a short while. Then, like with the missile attack, Iran can retreat and save face.

@rd2kimbolton @AMAZlNGNATURE I'd imagine they're very careful about attacking full grown male gaurs, cautious with females, and definitely quick to snatch a calf if the opportunity arises. I think that's "standard practice" with these large bovines.
