Your new policy still allows people to get over when they do not deserve and/or pay to do so.

Because this is getting ridiculous. 13 wheelchairs at my gate of which 10 people miraculously got up and walked with 0 issues on board

Hey, here's a novel idea. How about you need a note from a doctor before you get a wheelchair?
Or you have to be over a certain age?
Not to mention the gate agent lost total control of the gate because of it.
What's the point of having boarding groups if 50 people get on board before the 1st A boarding pass member boards?
Bad enough the plane was late, now we have to wait for ~35 people in wheelchairs to walk on board.
