I have no idea about Mitch McConnell’s condition. But it’s sure an odd time for his wife to leave his side and fly to China. If it’s as being reported by some, that he is brain-dead and being kept alive by extraordinary measures for political purposes, how is it ethical/legal?

@smerconish In Trump’s worldview, alliances are just another transactional chip to be played. If Xi offered to swap Hormuz for Taiwan the deal would be done. And worldwide trust in the US would be further eroded.
