@ThatMoviePage The magic of the original movies was that it wasn’t hard to hit pause and have it look like a still for National Geographic. When the camera and the production design go for verisimilitude then it accents the supernatural bits. Now we have CGI gophers and it’s 😔

@zuki_2024 Yes art but a computer games age much more poorly compared to cinema. A film from the 1950s can still be enjoyed pretty well today but a game from 20 years ago is hard to get into of you dont have some nostalgic reason for playing it. There are exceptions but not many.

@FischerKing64 The 9th never did it for me (tho I have fond memories of singing it at uni). But the 6th — one of the first classical CDs I ever owned was the 5th & 6th (Berliner, Karajan) and so it still evokes those teenage memories of discovering something new and wonderful. I love it dearly.

@BenBird53920553 @kwabinalars There well could be a legacy apostle or two like John. Even while the original 12 apostles lived in the Old World, Jesus ordained a separate quorum of 12 in the New. Among them were the 3 Nephites who now have a similar mission to John. I love that this is a thing.

@aelfred_D In the making-of feature, the editor of the film talks about how PJ wanted to do the edit of this scene but never had time so the editor just did it himself. The shots themselves, of course, are all PJ. Really is a wonderful bit of film.
