It's just absolutely false that most journos work in PR for Democrats.
The vast majority of journos live and work for Democrats in the contiguous 48 states.
USA. Summer. It is 95 degrees outside, and I am shivering inside a sandwich shop.
I have discovered how Americans forge strong souls.
Outside, the sun is trying to kill everyone. Inside this small restaurant, it is winter. My breath does not fog, but it is thinking about it. A man near me is eating a cold sandwich while wearing a jacket. In summer. Indoors.
In Japan we would simply turn it down. Americans do not turn it down. And now I understand them better than they understand themselves.
This cold is not an accident. This cold is a gift.
The owner has built, inside his shop, a second season. He invites you in from the brutal heat and hands you the one thing the sun has denied you all day: a reason to be cold. To endure it is to be tempered. You walk in soft and sweating. You walk out sharp and clear, a slightly stronger person than you were.
So I did not complain. I removed my outer layer and offered it to the woman at the next table, who was hugging herself. She said, "Oh, no, I'm fine, thank you." She was not fine. Her lips were blue. But she, too, understood the training. She would not break first. I respected her deeply.
The owner asked if everything was okay.
"It is perfect," I said, through my teeth, which were chattering. "Thank you for the winter."
He said, "...I can turn the AC down if you want?"
I told him no. A man does not ask the mountain to be shorter.
I stayed two hours. I ordered a hot coffee to survive. Then a second one, to hold. By the end I could no longer feel my hands, but my spirit had never been clearer.
So now, on the hottest days, I seek out the coldest rooms. I sit. I shiver. I sharpen.
And when I finally step back out into the summer heat, and it wraps around me like a warm bath, I feel it.
Reborn.
A man who has survived the winter, in August, indoors, for the price of a sandwich.
The fact that we are having a hard time throwing America a 250th birthday party because leftists are threatening to kill everyone involved is the most zeitgeist shit I’ve ever seen in my life
The word “Nakba” (catastrophe) wasn’t invented by Palestinians to describe Jewish “ethnic cleansing.”
It was coined in 1948 by a Syrian Arab historian, Constantin Zureiq, in his book The Meaning of the Disaster.
He used it to describe the humiliating failure of the Arab world — their leaders’ arrogance, their lies to their own people, their military incompetence, and their refusal to accept a Jewish state.
Zureiq wrote that the Arabs had “imaginary victories” and put their public “to sleep” with boasts — until the real disaster hit: they couldn’t wipe out the Jews.
The original Nakba wasn’t about refugees. That a rebrand from several decades later.
It was about the Arab leaders’ catastrophic decision to launch a war of extermination ... and lose.
They’ve spent 77 years rebranding their own failure as Jewish guilt.
That’s the only real "Nakba" they can’t forgive.
If nothing else, the Louisiana v. Callais decision demonstrates just how much Democrat Party power in America has become an artificial construct.
They gain power through counting illegals in the census, diluting election security rules, and forcing Red States to draw congressional districts solely on the basis of race.
They have no ability to argue their positions on the merits, so they've built these pillars of power to rig the game.
But now they're slowly coming to an end.
An example of how they cook the books to absolve the Left of violence in the WSJ today: A graph it published that seems to show near parity between Left and Right wing political violence is sourced to the Center for Strategic and International Studies, which by its own admission reclassified pro-Palestinian violence as "ethnonationalist". It classifies all antisemitism as Right-wing, and all pro-Palestinian "attacks on Jewish individuals or institutions" as "ethnonationalist." This is just nakedly partisan propaganda presented as "data" and then mainstreamed in the American press. More in my column below linked.
Unpopular opinion: if you lose your high paying government job and the free market will not match it… you were an overpaid low-skill worker wasting taxpayer dollars.
What was great for teaching was sexism. There used to be no other option for a smart woman than teaching. Now a smart woman can make way more money elsewhere.
Do no ID, no update of voter rolls, automatic mail-in ballots to everyone, ballot drop-boxes and "ballot harvesting" make our elections more secure or less secure?
And if fraud occurs under such rules, is it identifiable as such?
Perhaps the purpose of the ridiculously unscrupulous voting rules is to make fraud impossible to prove.
You are not a reasonable person if you don't understand this.
