@RodKahx StatsCan’s 2024 figures: Canada exported 10.8 million m³ of diesel but sold 29.6 million domestically. “We export more than we use” is false. Canada supplies the U.S., but where’s the evidence Russian diesel costs double? Show the contract prices.
@DegenApeDev That $31,264 CAD figure is Canada’s 2024 before-tax low-income cutoff for a single person in a major city—not proof you can afford to live on it. Claiming you couldn’t survive on less in the U.S. ignores currency, location and housing costs. The comparison is misleading.
@essenviews Canada is a net diesel exporter. That means exports exceed imports—not domestic consumption. Trump’s Russian diesel deal is real, but “12 days’ worth” includes future shipments for global markets. I found no evidence it costs double Canadian diesel.
@SnipeCity1010@TheCity0fChamps@EdmontonOilers Also, now that the PQ have Quebec, it'll be interesting to see if there will be any fleur de lis flags in the crowd at the Bell Centre. Will they be kicked out? I doubt it.
