This morning we celebrated the Girls and Boys Track & Field state qualifiers with the traditional ‘“Breakfast of Champions” held by the athletic office. Never take a trip to state for granted, it’s a super tough road to get there that not all get a chance to experience!

Tonight our BD Giant senior state qualifiers get to be the first BD 2026 graduates in a special Graduation Ceremony! The Wayne Township dedicated & caring school board, Cabinet and BD administration take care of our students when graduation conflicts with the State Meet. Thanks!

This is Aboubakar’s 3rd state finals qualification and first Regional title in track!

3200 saw gutsy performances from both racers & 2 PRs!

Sr T Hailu took lead with 3.5 laps to go & strung the race out. He was caught but held on for 4th & 9:29 (:01 PR!) one of first callback misses.

Sr F Shumai 8th in 9:41 (:10 PR!)
