I’ve already introduced you to Heather Brunton, a home caregiver who decided it was acceptable to mock Charlie Kirk’s assassination on its one-year mark.

Today she doubled down. She went on another rant, recycling the same tired slander: calling Kirk hateful, calling him racist, accusing him of everything he wasn’t. She willingly ignored the fact that the words she’s attacking were taken out of context. Then she didn’t stop at him. She went after his widow, Erika, criticizing how a woman is allowed to grieve after her husband was murdered in front of a crowd.

The irony is sickening. This is coming from a woman who danced with the urn of her late husband after he died of an overdose. The same woman who has shown support for Lindsay Clancy, the mother who strangled her own three children.

After watching her videos, one thing is obvious: Brunton is a textbook useful idiot for the Democratic Party. She claims to support women, except the ones whose grief doesn’t match her dark, mocking sense of humor, and except the ones who object to men pretending to be women. She’d rather stand with women who are psychopaths, because that’s the company she keeps.

Who in their right mind would hire this person to care for their loved ones? She treats women’s hormones as a sufficient excuse to murder your own children. That is not compassion. That is not caregiving. That is rot.

One year ago, Charlie Kirk was assassinated, and the conservative movement lost its greatest son. There are losses that political language cannot contain, and his is one of them. Charlie was a hero of mine and a hero to an entire generation of young conservatives. He gave us courage when we felt alone, confidence when we were dismissed, and a belief that our generation could still change the course of our country. His absence is felt not only in our movement, but in the hearts of everyone who found purpose, friendship, or hope through his life.

College Republicans of America built our organization alongside Turning Point—on the same campuses, among the same students, and in pursuit of the same cause. We stood beside one another in the difficult work of reaching young Americans and defending the country we love. Charlie’s death therefore did not feel distant to us. It felt like losing someone from our own family. We continue to grieve with Turning Point, with the millions of people whose lives he touched, and most of all with the family who loved him not as a leader or an icon, but as a husband, father, and son.

Charlie’s life cannot be measured only by the years he was given, but by the courage he awakened in others. He lives on in every young person who refuses to be silent, every student who stands firm in faith, and every patriot who chooses service over comfort. We honor him by carrying forward the work he loved and by remaining faithful to the truths for which he gave everything. May God grant Charlie eternal rest, hold his family close, and give all of us the strength to become worthy of the example he left behind.
