Another video of Adam Schefter sounding very uncomfortable talking about the Vrabel - Russini story [April 8].

Adam Schefter’s job is to know what’s happening in the NFL. Do you believe Adam Schefter was unaware of Russini’s reporting on AJ Brown?! While Eagles fans were screaming about it? That’s unfathomable to me. Seems more likely he was playing dumb.

Adam is business partners with Robert Kraft - they both own large pieces of the same sports betting app.

Adam hasn’t tweeted the word Russini since before the Sedona photos dropped and didn’t tweet the Tennessee boat rental photos or anything after the NYT article dropped.

I believe Adam’s business partnership with Robert Kraft is impacting his reporting.

I’ve been asking why Schefter is going so lightly on Pats’ coach Mike Vrabel [Adam hasn’t tweeted the word “Vrabel” since April 27 despite the NYT article and boat rental photos, etc]

Just learned that Schefter is business partners with Vrabel’s boss Robert Kraft.

Questions were raised in 2021 about how Schefter could remain unbiased while reporting on the Patriots and now the Patriots’ head coach is involved in a scandal and he’s not reporting on major developments.

Several outlets reporters on April 19 that Kraft “tried to kill” the Vrabel story.

If questions were being asked in 2021 about bias, how are they not being asked in the middle of a Pats scandal when Schefter is blatantly quiet?

Everyone is quick to crucify Brendan Sorsby for sports betting [fair] because it’s a conflict of interest.

But the same people won’t talk about how Schefter and Kraft are business partners on a sports betting website. It’s a taboo topic.

Dianna Russini voted for a guy for MVP and then told her sports betting friend that player is 100% going to win MVP 2 days before awards are announced. This is on tape. No mainstream outlet will touch it.

If you’re going to virtue signal about integrity and sports betting conflicts of interest, do it consistently.

Here is the real money betting app that is owned by Robert Kraft and Adam Schefter [among others].

The NFL is okay with the Patriots owner also owning a sports betting app where you can bet on the players who Kraft pays.

The NFL is okay with Adam Schefter being business partners with Kraft. Schefter didn’t tweet about the latest Vrabel developments (Boat photos, NYT article).

FWIW this company also used to have a strategic partnership with Barstool Sports [2020] but I can’t find evidence that partnership still exists.

If you’re a real sports fan, you’ve probably heard Adam Schefter speak hundreds of times. He’s very well spoken.

Have you ever heard him sound as uncomfortable as when he’s being asked by @johnkincade why the NFL isn’t investigating Mike Vrabel for tampering? [April 22].

The long pause, the stuttering, the talking in circles, the answering of a question with a question.

Remember, if the NFL were to investigate the Patriots for tampering that would be bad for Robert Kraft who owns the Patriots and is a business partner with Schefter.

Adam does not disclose that he and Robert Kraft both own stake in the same sports betting venture when he does these interviews or when he tweets.

Every journalist knows that disclosing conflicts of interest is basic journalism ethics 101. Millionaire “insiders” like Adam operate under a separate set of rules.

These are the sort of conversation the NFL is terrified of, so pass this tweet around and let’s have a dialogue.
