The disease of "shallow hurry" is pretty well described (thanks @agileklzkittens):
"The motto of delivering customer value has been used as an excuse to emphasize the surfaces exposed to the customer"

Agile hype is creating a credibility issue. I've just seen a claim to be 'Europe's biggest Agile event' and I know for a fact it isn't (the one is question us a minor, if interesting, peripheral one). Put that is just the catalyst for this tweet, loads of other examples could have been the trigger. Excessive claims for miraculous transformations abound. A little more realism, less snake oil, would greatly improve things
Met @shl yesterday. Super smart guy.
Never realized he has 0 employees. Instead, works with 25 freelancers at @gumroad.
Every quarter he creates a roadmap. Contractors pick a task and work on it whenever they want.
Definitely made some things click in my brain.
Even our memories of “cooler” places may be out of sync with our reality. Last Friday at the Jersey shore, I swam in the disconcertingly warm Atlantic Ocean. I came back to work yesterday still dumbfounded, so I emailed @MichaelEMann looking for clarity: https://t.co/KeMTcOsSuB
🧵Since it is becoming hard to track, here is a thread of the simply astounding weather records planet Earth has started shattering in recent weeks:
1. Dramatic flood events have begun striking various countries around the world simultaneously this week.

@allenholub This of course drives delays and manual coordination/planning overhead since these components are not decoupled services. Bad team design and architecture drives bad "scaling agile" patterns
"Change management is only necessary if you inflict change on people." @mfloryan at #awrld2023. @jens_coldewey disagreed: You need to take care the info is conveyed. Marcin: "I call that leadership." (GREAT panel discussion)
Today, on July 11th, in Srebrenica, we solemnly remember the Bosnian genocide. Let us focus on the victims, honoring their lives and the families who mourn their loss. May their stories never be forgotten. #BosnianGenocide#NeverForget
A terrific TEDx talk from 4th grader Gwen Coffee, on how kids can push back against overprotection, and why parents and schools must stop saying "no" and start giving kids room to learn skills, with small risks. Adventure Playgrounds! @LetGrow!

It’s been *forever* since my last Physics Twitter Thread 😳.
But today I ran into a beautiful artistic physics demo in my hometown that inspired me to write a few lines.
I’m sure you’ve all seen these massive floating granite balls. How do they work?

#hittautternsven
