Ubisoft has just dropped a massive article, detailing the future of Assassin's Creed, the current games in development and new updates
Here are the major details:
- There are no AC remakes in development at Ubisoft, The rumors about an AC1 remake are officially false.
- Assassin's Creed Hexe is still in development and is progressing steadily, Ubisoft will reveal more about it in 2027
- Assassin's Creed Codename Invictus, the AC multiplayer game, is deep in development. Playtests have been conducted and the response to the return of PVP multiplayer was very positive. One big piece of feedback they've had is that the game needs to reflect AC's core pillars more, and they are working on that now.
- Assassin's Creed Valhalla is getting a new update that adds New Game+, new gear, outfit, resources and more.
- Assassin's Creed's new leadership has emphasized their focus on "Staying true to what makes Assassin's Creed unique, continuing to innovate, delivering diverse experiences, and elevating the quality and consistency of our games."
Seems like the franchise is in a pretty strong place going forward, I am sad we won't be getting any more remakes soon as I'd have loved to see them remake more older games. But also, they emphasize "That door remains open" in the future. As for Hexe, I remain cautiously excited. I hope the new leadership combined with Ubisoft Montreal's history with the franchise ends up resulting in a great game that returns to the more cinematic ways of the franchise.

I did say we'd be releasing our models periodically...introducing Gemini 4 Carbon, our next frontier model.
Following Argon's release just two weeks ago, Carbon shows the pace at which weβre pushing the frontier, it ranks #1 on the recently updated v5.0 of @ArtificialAnlys Intelligence Index at 59. It also leads across key cybersecurity evaluations scoring 88.2% on SEC-bench Pro for finding vulnerabilities, 54.8% on ExploitGym for exploitation, and 71.0% on CWE-bench for patching.
Weβre seeing significant improvements in long-horizon tasks even compared to Argon, and weβve strengthened frontier safeguards.
As we did with Argon, weβre going to roll it out gradually + responsibly. Some trusted cyber defenders will get access starting this week. We'll be expanding it to more partners through our Fairwind Program, ahead of wider availability soon, so hang tight!
