I just wanted to thank everyone on this site who have been so kind to me. It was great talking to most of you. Thanks to my special friends who have supported my latest book, "Forty Nights In Aruba."
Together we are a team
Strong, united, and unstoppable
Surviving each storm that weathers us
A perfect love in an unperfect world
Two Hearts that beat as one
Two separate souls wrapped in loving arms
To love, to laugh, to cry
We’ve done it all
TOGETHER
Happy anniversary my love!
Bucky Brooks of FOX Sports ranked Carson Schwesinger No. 4 among the NFL's top linebackers, praising his instincts, range, awareness, and leadership of the Browns' defense.
"The second-year pro quickly established himself as a tackling machine in the middle of the Browns’ defense. Schweisinger’s instincts, range, and awareness as a 'see ball, get ball' defender shrink the field for the opponents, leading to fewer explosive plays against the ultra-aggressive unit. With the youngster also controlling the game as the green dot wearer, the Pro Bowler’s intelligence and communication skills set him apart from others at the position."

Ivory Keys
Your touch and your fingertips play me like keystrokes across the ivory keys of a grand piano..
slow at first, then deeper, until every note becomes a shiver.
You know exactly where to press,
where to pause, where silence itself becomes music.
And I surrender to the melody, not knowing whether you are playing me or awakening something that was always waiting
beneath my skin.
Your hands become the music.
My body, the instrument.
And somewhere between each note and the breath we share, desire becomes a language neither of us needs to speak…..
They said El Diablo first placed the glass into my fist
"sweet girl, just one swallow" and oh baby, how could I resist
the scream of that amber promise, the wildfire behind my teeth...
but Lucifer was only pointing; I'm the beast that lay beneath
he dragged me down to barrooms where the neon puked like wine
where strangers wore my lipstick and forgot my name, my god, my sign
men with wedding bands they'd wrenched off and buried for the night
and women with wet mouths and rougher hands who taught me how to bite
I blamed Satan for the mornings I woke up gasping, half dead
for the bruises blooming purple, for the psalms I shrieked instead
I blamed him for the reek of other women slicked across my throat
for the husband I unbuckled, for the vows I went and broke
downriver, past the promises they'd hammered into rings ....
I screamed "The devil made me do these dirty, wicked, filthy things"
I writhed on tables slick and sticky with the sins of other girls
let a stranger's tongue tear scripture down the ladder of my pearls
I woke up wrapped in women whose names I couldn't even choke
and men who moaned my name in prayer while their crucifixes smoked
I howled, "El Diablo dragged me here" ... but honey, that's the lie
I spat into the mirror when I couldn't stand my own damn eye
because tonight I finally sat down with the Morning Star himself
and he poured me something brutal, ripped my grievance off the shelf
he said, "Darling, look...I warned you. From the very first hello,
I told you this road burns down, not up. I told you where we'd go."
"I promised you the whiskey. I promised you the beds.
I promised you the wanting and the voices in your head.
I said you'd worship falling like you'd never worship light
I never once deceived you. I just kept my word, without a fight"
and god, he's right. Lucifer never lied to me, not once
he tossed me all the matches and I torched away the months
the years, the mouths, the marriage, the mornings, and the men
I chose the glass. I chose the bed. and I'd choose it all again
so I can't blame Satan anymore. I can't blame El Diablo's grin
he told me where he'd lead me
and still, I sprinted after him.

I comb through the memories in my matchbox heart
Ashes of yesterdays and fragile teardrop parts
Separated by time, as old flames fade to dark
Forever I’ll cherish the love that left its mark
