Cabinet Member for Children and Young People. County Cllr Clare Division. Promoted by R Bennett of West Suffolk Conservatives, Moulton Road, Newmarket, CB8 8DY
It was a pleasure to be on this panel this morning , a valuable conversation about how we can better support young people into education, employment and training. Thank you for hosting @YF_Foundation#CPC25
It’s time for Suffolk’s districts and borough to come clean with the public. They’ve had since March and have failed to put a line on a map to let Suffolk’s residents know where they stand under their three council proposal. Why the secrecy?
The decision to scrap the devolution deal and with it £500m of investment is another insult to the people of Suffolk.
After promising to listen to residents and decentralise, Labour’s words sound hollow today.
Ministers clearly consider places like Suffolk second-class communities compared to the big cities and Labour heartlands. https://t.co/zPwJBhQahk
. @suffolkcc leader Matthew Hicks : “This feels like a real slap in the face for Suffolk from a Government that won’t listen to what local people are saying”
First Labour waved through the Sunnica application, showing little regard for the communities affected. Then they scrapped the winter fuel payments and now the £500m investment in Suffolk is in the bin.
Celebrating 70 years of Clare Fire Station! Definitely worth visiting our fantastic firefighters and friends in Clare Country Park today. Lots of food, games and demonstrations and plenty of fire engines! #claredivision#clare#suffolk@suffolkcc@SuffolkFire
Labour on Tuesday: Our fundamental belief is that local leaders with skin in the game know what's best for their communities.
Labour on Friday: We're imposing a massive solar farm on good agricultural land at Sunnica that local leaders and communities have repeatedly opposed.
The decision by Ed Miliband to grant a Development Consent Order for the giant Sunnica solar and battery farm is appalling and an insult to all the communities it affects (1/5).
It has been a beautiful day to celebrate #SuffolkDay today with blue skies and sunshine across the county.
We hope you’ve had a great Suffolk Day however you’ve chosen to celebrate our wonderful county.
Great to catch up with the brilliant @MarkGlennMurphy@CSSuffolk. Early cancer detection is vital and there are nurses at their stand at the show today offering free skin checks - definitely worth popping by stand 788 if you have any concerns. #suffolkshow#cancersupportsuffolk
The new #dementia strategy for Suffolk will help people by Preventing Well - which means raising awareness, understanding and information, by improving training and education for dementia and pre-diagnosis information, advice, and support. Read more https://t.co/dWTJVaY2xt
