So proud to see this come to fruition after I raised it as a public question at Full Council and, despite an initial ‘no’, wrote a motion that was brought by Cllr Lentell & widely supported (albeit in amended form). Good things happen when people work cross-party. @WhiteRibbon_UK
Yesterday’s Highways Committee (at #Cambridgeshire County Council) approved Waterbeach’s application for a #20mph scheme. #Waterbeach scored #1 among 66 applications countywide (13 were approved). A huge win for all of us involved in the campaign.

The changes in #Waterbeach will affect us all. The recent general election showed that people trust #Labour as the party of change. In @JamesBullLabour we have a local councillor ready to serve the community.
Very proud to have been elected onto Waterbeach Parish Council (and to be Waterbeach's first Labour councillor). Waterbeach is undergoing a period of huge change with the new town. I want to make sure all residents (of the village and town) benefit from new infrastructure.
It was no surprise that the #Tories hollow promise on increasing nursery places failed to deliver, we've had 14 years of this! @ElizabethMcWill comments on #Labour's plans which could see up to 70 new nurseries created in #Cambridgeshire. https://t.co/KzRJCNQHtt
On the #Labourdoorstep in #Cottenham this morning. Increasingly on the doorstep people are telling us that they want a #Labour MP in a Labour government and that they will be voting for Elizabeth in #GE2024
The BBC warn on Lib Dem bar charts: ‘the popularity of parties has shifted significantly since 2019’, ‘most constituencies have had their boundaries redrawn’ & ‘local elections can be an unreliable guide…people vote very differently in them than in GEs’ https://t.co/aA5Fmu8uNZ
Young people across #Cambridgeshire have been telling us how desperate they are to get rid of this #Tories and see the change that a vote for @ElizabethMcWill and a #Labour government will bring.
Finally the sun returns! I’m still on a high after my launch! Yesterday in Ely, it wasn’t just the people whose doors I knocked on excited to vote Labour, but so many people in the streets coming over to wish me good luck! 🙏🥰🌹Come support my campaign: https://t.co/aRABmN1V4p
Being able to afford your own home is a dream that is increasingly out of reach for many growing up in #Cambridgeshire. #Labour will ensure that at least 50% of homes on new developments are affordable says

It started with austerity and ended with crashing the economy and a constant merry-go-round of scandals. The 14 years of Tory rule has left ordinary people poorer, the #NHS on its knees and a country in desperate need of #change. #VoteLabour2024
