@KATETHEPARK @jones_mog @cardiffcouncil So much depends on where you live. In the Bay, huge numbers of flats were built without providing easy local transport routes into town - no dedicated cycle highway, no continuous bus lanes and no light rail. Older suburbs have frequent rail links.

My parents or school never read stories with two dads to me.

I never saw pride flags as a kid.

I didn’t learn the word gay until I was in secondary school.

I didn’t see any gay role models on tv.

But I’m gay, and always have been.

Straight representation didn’t make me straight. Gay representation won’t make kids gay.

But not having a variety of representation will make some kids feel like they don’t belong, or are wrong.

If people won’t allow children to see the diversity of families, they’re failing them and putting their own prejudice above the wellbeing of their children.

Section 28 banned the ‘promotion’ of homosexuality in schools and is still having effects today, despite being repealed 20 years ago.

Ignorance or bigotry can no longer be used as an excuse and all children should see versions of themselves in our schools and in their lives.

@polecat_the Welsh Water is privatised. It operates under the same regulatory regime as companies in England. Ofwat provides comparative data and there are only a few measures where English companies do better than in Wales. The key difference is that Dwr Cymru reinvests profits for customers

Could we not mandate a low energy price per kWh for the first 2000kW and then escalate it for higher usage? Linked to a free home insulation programme for poorer households this could provide affordable basic needs for all and encourage investment in energy efficiency.
