Sarcopoterium spinosum (or Afana in Greek) is a thorny bush common to the southeast Mediterranean region and the Middle East.
The thorns of the bush were combined with copper and silk to form a fragile and aggressive brooch.
The brooch belongs to the "Soul Garden" Collection.

I became a nature collector by picking from the ground pieces of dry and dead twigs, thorny branches and flowers. These findings were dead but extremely beautiful and all I wanted was to give them life again #katerinaglinoujewelry #contemporaryart #jewelrydesigner #Greece
