Traffic Advisory – Bayers Lake

Due to the ongoing wildfire in the Susies Lake area, the following roads will remain closed overnight:

- Chain Lake Drive, between the Highway 102 off-ramp and Julius Blvd (inbound lane only)
- Julius Blvd
- Susie Lake Crescent between Julius Blvd and Hobsons Lake Drive

There are no mandatory evacuations at this time.

Do not operate drones in a wildfire area. It is illegal. It can interfere with our firefighting efforts. The fine is $25,000 under the Forests Act, there could be fines under federal legislation as well.

A idiotic move by a very irresponsible person tossing still hot and used charcoal cubes into the woods at OAKFIELD Park caused a small fire around the base of this tree.

Do better folks! We do not want a wild fire to break out anywhere!
