@mscapgras Interesting! I didn’t get this sense. I feel like in friendsim 2 there is a strong sense of how each caste suffers and the challenges they have/accept. But maybe I haven’t played enough
@720gou In the US, I think it is common culture in schools to make trades with other students during the lunch periods. You get to know which kids’ moms pack them good snacks, and start to bring things to trade. It became complicated with allergies and is sometimes prohibited now
John, in real genuine eminent peril. But to Dave, his friend is just not goofing off with him because he’s distracted by his “house” being under siege in some video game that got panned in gamebro
When John tells Dave that “there’s literally a meteor heading toward my house” Dave responds with the cavalierness of a dude who wants to talk to his buddy only to be told that his Minecraft house is about to be blown up by creepers.
@GECKOMORlA It’s so heartwrenching. It’s through his positivity we see the pain. Such a good friend, who is not letting his friends take on the burden of his grief
Like when they say “imagine this gif looking like this” or “oh my god it’s ridiculous to have this flash separated into this many cells” which they had to say for the books. Since I’m reading it as intended I don’t have to remember how bad the books are formatted lol!
You know what would be nice? A new mod for the homestuck collection that added Hussie’s commentary, but removes all the times he apologizes for the formatting of the book version.
