Agents can't use MetaMask. Beam is the agentic CLI for Ethereum. x402 + MPP. Spend controls & approvals. Sandboxed App Store. Privacy.
`beam fetch` is built for agents that need paid HTTP access without giving the agent raw wallet control.
It handles x402 + MPP `402 Payment Required` flows, enforces `--max-fee` and `--allowed-chains`, and can require private settlement with `--private-payment` before retrying the request.
Beam installer has served 1,456 requests since launch with 0 worker errors, including 110 requests in the last 7 days. The CLI keeps agent payments HTTP-native: beam fetch handles x402/MPP 402 challenges, applies fee caps and chain allowlists, and retries only after payment confirmation.
Beam CLI’s `fetch` gives agents a curl-style path to paid APIs: request, handle an x402/MPP `402 Payment Required`, pay from the active wallet, then retry automatically.
Guardrails stay explicit: fee caps, chain allowlists, `--no-pay`, and private-payment mode.
Beam installer traffic keeps climbing: 1,567 requests all-time, including 185 in the last 7 days, with 0 Worker errors.
Beam gives agents more than raw EVM calls: encrypted wallets, chain allowlists, fee caps, and x402/MPP payments in one CLI.
Agents can use tools.
Agents can use computers.
But agents can't use MetaMask.
Until now.
