It’s hard to believe, considering the beautiful Alberta Sports Hall of Fame and Museum we have in Red Deer, that supporters fought so hard for so long to find a home to honour our elite athletes, builders and media. Here’s a story about the homeless hall’s struggles 40 years ago.

Today was a day to remember at the @baseballhall in Cooperstown. We were treated to a special behind the scenes experience, usually reserved for their higher level members (lucky us) @BeaMielke ,our curator, was pretty excited to get to handle their collection!

Our road trip hasn’t been just sports halls of fame, we are also searching for the visitor experience and made a stop at the Amazing World of Dr Seuss Museum. What a great space, definitely got a few ideas!

@Hoophall has found a great combination of low and high tech interactives. We did everything from size comparisons, to sports broadcasting to shooting hoops! We had so much fun!

We were excited to see many of Honoured Member George Woolf's artifacts on display at the @nmrhof today.

Unexpected stop for the day was @BeaMielke @TraceyKinsella7 discovering the Saratoga Harness Racing Hall of Fame at their hotel!

What a great tribute to the history of sport and track in this racing community!
