something about madonna that one has to realize before they can properly appreciate her is that all of her music is raw impressionism from the point of view of a living god. she has designed the predominate archetype of contemporary female pop music and it doesn’t matter if you think her songs are “good” are not because you are listening to the testament of a divine creator. if you think MDMA, Rebel Heart or Madame X is bad it means that you are illiterate in the words of the closest being we have to a breathing goddess and you must reconsider
Conservatism as a culture is much like a third world society in which they are obligated to engage in performative displays of hysteria. Ironically for them it’s considered a sign of “sophistication”.
“There’s a massive stigma against having voted for an awful and destructive evil person. I never remember this happening before I voted for that person”
Yeah, wow. Kind of interesting
The End of Tar is the single most evocative sequence in the history of cinema. It articulates everything you need to know about what it feels like to be alive right now. The 2020s are the "End of Tar era."
As a Bravo community, we have to get more serious about these lists we make. Monica on your list is insane - what did she really do besides empower Heather lmao
SCOTUS by tradition waits until late June of its term to release opinions in major cases like the three cases decided today. Justice Roberts could have held to Supreme Court precedent and waited until this month to release the majority opinion in Louisiana v. Callais, a major voting rights case, but elected to release it in April so state legislatures, like Tennessee’s, could dilute Black voter representation and improve the prospect that Republicans can retain control of the House in November. That’s what happened to my District in Memphis, and it affects all majority-African-American districts. This behavior, in addition to the others listed, is why I introduced Articles of Impeachment against Justice Roberts.
