@GlobalUpdates24 I love how these cowardly assholes think a gun stops you from being grabbed by a braver man. As crazy as the world is now, it’s men like this that make me hopeful for humanity.
@MrBeast I’m probably overqualified and I live in Atlanta. But. I’ll cut pay and move. I don’t care. Hire me. https://t.co/7kCPX9VAd4
Look for my submitted application!
@RepMTG But - reading is hard, and I know you’re BA degree is universally listed in the top easiest bachelors degrees, but. I dunno. Get speechify and let @MrBeast read the bill to you while you do curls or flip tires or whatever you do to get those feminine Goldberg trap muscles.
@RepMTG Don’t you feel a responsibility as a lawmaker to, I dunno, read and comprehend laws you are making decision that affects the entire country? And you also realize you’re admitting that you failed entirely at doing the job you were elected for, right?
@MiniChoco120423 I have been looking for a copy of your Jeremy Bean series books for years that are in any decent shape whatsoever (for obvious reasons). Particularly the St. Patricks' Day one which has a special meaning to me now... reach out to me?
@drewmcmanus@dylanmcmanus So, I've been looking for a copy of one of your mother-in-law's books, for obvious reasons. But they're shockingly hard to find the Jeremy Bean series in even relatively good shape. There's now special meaning to the St. Patrick's Day one in particular to me. Reach out?
@elonmusk I have and always will believe are a one a century that changes the entire world.
But it’s clear Tesla Charles service is struggling. I spoke with a Tony for 28 minutes renting to purchase a 2025 Model Y. He was rude. Insulting. And despite loving it, I mad move on elsewhere after that.
Fire Tony.
@rickygervais I’m arguing with idiots on the internet about the mugging scene from After Life. Here’s my opinion. Care to weigh in? Just want your thoughts on my perspective.

I feel qualified to give you guys the most real analysis of this scene. I lost my pregnant fiancée, who was my soulmate, best friend, and the only person I’ve truly loved, just 7 weeks before our wedding. And I’ve never felt as “seen” by a show than this one.
There’s a complete indifference to death that I still feel that follows a loss like this. It’s not really that you want to die, you simply stop caring if you do. Dying becomes binary. “Either I’m going to see her again, or everything turns off and I don’t know anyway.” And both of those options sound just fine - great even. Either way the pain stops.
By this scene, he’d be just fine with death. He already truly attempted to kill himself, and chickened out ONLY out of fear it would be painful. Or possibly worse - failing and ending up in some mental ward. Then you’d be miserable and somewhere even more unbearable than the world is already - plus your exit options are even more limited in a place like that. But that’s why he hesitates in the bathtub. The dog is only a partial excuse. The dog is just the justification he uses to convince himself he had a reason more noble to stop, far better sounding than a simple fear of pain. Either way, it’s not out of fear of dying or a lack of desire for it.
And in that situation, the idea of someone else doing it for you sounds very good. It’s the entire reason for “death by cop”. And it’s the reason for this scene.
And he’s right. If you do end up continuing to live after experiencing these emotions, it’s almost like a superpower that comes along with that. Complete indifference disguising itself as bravery (or maybe insanity). With a bonus of being able to be as selfish as you want, because you always have that exit out the back.
For example: I wouldn’t think twice in attempting to stop an active shooter or just any way to risk myself to protect another. But it’s about as “brave” as Superman doing the same. Superman is risking nothing. He knows he won’t get hurt so he’s not worried. And honestly, neither am I. I know I’d either succeed, and be seen as a hero that selflessly risked themselves for another. Or, I’d fail; and die as a hero who died trying to protect another. But either way you’re a hero. And the “negative” result is far better than dying by your own hands and forever being seen as a selfish coward. So knowing this, is it truly brave to act? Not really. In truth, it’s still just selfish. It’s just the indifference, nothing more. Ironically - it’s the continuing to live when you are feeling like this that is the brave thing.
The “why” he asks was so interesting. He wasn’t being antagonistic, he was genuinely asking. If they’d had a legitimate reason, he’d have just given it to them. He cares about money the same way he cares about living, but even less so. They just gave the entirely wrong answer to someone in this mode.
(And I’m sorry, but the “That usually work, does it?” is one of the most amazing lines I’ve heard. It perfectly encapsulates his lack of concern about what’s happening and has to just be so jarring to the muggers.)
