Here are 4 things that happened to the UK in the last 24 hours:
1. The Labour government confirmed it will remove the right to a jury trial. Cases will be tried by a judge alone.
2. The Labour gvt confirmed it will impose Digital ID despite it never being included in Labour's manifesto and nearly 3 million Brits signing a petition against it.
3. The Labour gvt confirmed we will "align" with the European Union, directly going against the 2016 democratic vote for Brexit & forcing the British people to pay billions for laws they'll never be able to influence.
4. The Labour gvt confirmed that while Islamist sympathisers & antisemites are free to march on the streets of our capital city, & while it welcomes former allies of al-Qaeda into Downing Street, it has banned conservative activists from joining a peaceful protest against mass immigration in London.
Put all these things together and you get a sense - just a sense - of how hideously authoritarian and illiberal this Labour government really is.
@kam_hussain5@VMMChamberlain@HinaBokhariLD problem starts when we look closely to find that your lot are not, and never will behave liberally. Islam won’t let you. and you are shackled to your beliefs
Fifty years ago, I believe to the day, we left the hell of the Lebanese civil war to start a new life in the West (Canada). For the first 20 years of my new life in the West, I thought that the ugly realities of my childhood were behind me. Regrettably, they are quickly creeping up everywhere in the West. I tried to warn you...
I pray that your children and mine will not have to face the harsh realities of my childhood.
@LeilaniDowding@10DowningStreet absolutely. landlords forced to spend 7-8k to supposedly “save” tenants £250 a year, what sort of retard thinks that’s gonna end well, on any level
I don’t like Islam.
Muslims, I treat them as I find them, like anyone I meet. There will be good ones and bad ones they are people just like any others.
Islam however is a political ideology that, if it were run by white working class men, would be deemed fascist and rightly so.
Therefore, just like fascism and communism, I don’t like Islam and no proposed law will change my view on that.
We have seen tens of thousands of people shout for the murder of Jews in London week after week for a year.
Whilst the Mayor and the police looked in the other direction.
We have watched as tens of thousands of people, year after year break the law by entering the United Kingdom without permission.
The police took no action. Moreover these people are given hotel rooms, phones and free money.
We have seen British men women and children blown up, stabbed, raped and murdered by extremists who we can never criticise.
We are told not to look back in anger at these atrocities, that we brought them on ourselves as a result of past wrongs which have absolutely nothing to do with us.
We are told we have privilege based on our skin colour as companies directly discriminate against us based on immutable characteristics which we cannot change.
Older people who have paid taxes all their lives are told that we can no longer afford to help heat them in winter because we have no money, despite us paying £8,000,000 a day to house people whose first act upon entering the UK was to break the law, and funding a forever war which is currently depriving another nation of an entire generation of its young men.
We are told that working people who have waited years for a council house will have to get in line behind new arrivals who have contributed nothing to the collective wealth of this country.
We are told that diversity is our strength whilst a teacher remains in hiding for his life for showing a cartoon and children give grovelling apologies for scuffing books.
The entire machinery of the state has now been mobilised to tackle a set of unrepresented, desperate and disenfranchised people who rage against this, whilst city streets drip with the blood of a knife crime epidemic which remains as ignored by the media and the establishment as the mass rape of children across the United Kingdom has been for decades.
We have seen our own unique culture berated, attacked, demoralised, demonised and diluted day after day in the media and we are told it’s for our own good.
It’s all very well for @Keir_Starmer to take the strongest possible measures, rightly jailing those who ferment chaos on our streets, but why are the Manchester airport thugs enjoying this sunshine on bail?
Where is the fairness in all this?
Any decent minded person condemns the disorder we have seen, but for drawing attention to the two tiered policing, judiciary and society we are forced to live in, people are called far right thugs and the police will bully, beat and arrest and jail people just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Unless @Keir_Starmer deals with the causation of the disenfranchisement and despair so many people feel, this tough on crime approach will only be a sticking plaster. Symptomatic relief for a much more serious ailment.
The media think that in collusion with the regime they have stamped out the scourge of those furious by the perceived unfairness of life modern Britain.
I sense the opposite may be true.
Deep and long standing resentment doesn’t just go away.
Peaceful protest in huge numbers is what will be required to remind our government that this is our home too, that British people are community too, and we have nowhere else to go.
