What a fucking riot X is. Today with Trump ready to commit massive war crimes, all kinds of top tier MAGAts are cooking up stories about Democrats being ..ready?..child molesters and sex sbusers. They’re drunk and scared and trying to distract from Trump‘s march to full-on war
UBI—like Social Security—isn't about creating dependency; it's about ending it. It gives people the leverage to negotiate better wages and better conditions. It turns the labor market from a coercive "choice" into an actual choice. That's the freedom we should be fighting for.
"stock up on your prescription medications"
ma'am I am on a controlled substance, if I so much as smile too much while I'm picking up a refill they make me swear a blood oath that I'm not selling my meds behind the nearest 7/11
If you don't know who Thomas Spence was, read this. He was the 1st to propose a true Universal Basic Income plan. He died in 1814. 3 years later, the Society of Spencean Philanthropists—what were essentially UBI+UBS+No Landlords clubs—became the first political ideology to be outlawed by Parliament.
In 1775, Thomas Spence proposed that parishes collectively own all land, lease it to the highest bidder, fund public services from the rent, and distribute the surplus equally to every resident quarterly—about £10/year, ~$1,500 today—regardless of age, gender, or status. The first true UBI plan.
His words: "all the living souls in the parish, whether male or female; married or single; legitimate or illegitimate; from a day old to the extremest age..."
If the land dividend was in any way means-tested or conditional, it would no longer have been restitution for a stolen birthright.

Beat him repeatedly with baton—while he was already detained by 3 other officers.
"Grab his ass," witnesses heard him yell—before running over and winding up with baton.
Kid was protesting ICE on 'No Kings Day' outside the Metropolitan Detention Center.
He is currently being denied the ability to see any visitors at Los Angeles General Hospital.
WATCH: President Donald Trump welcomed hundreds of farmers, ranchers and executives to the White House to announce new actions his administration is taking to support America's farm workers and save them "billions and billions of dollars."

Jeffries: "The only thing standing between the chaos that is taking place at airports all across the country and the American people and making sure you are no longer inconvenienced is House Republicans. Unfortunately MAGA extremists in the House continue to inflict pain on the American people"
Harm reduction is something Liberals say when they really mean harm re-distribution. The harm is never reduced, it’s just re-distributed to someone or someplace else. It’s why they told me I had to vote for someone committing genocide over there, to protect my rights over here.
We already have a system of non-universal basic income. It’s called "having wealthy parents." UBI just democratizes that privilege so everyone has the same base-level security to pursue their potential. It's no coincidence that entrepreneurs tend to come from wealthy families.
I don't like talking about the cost of universal basic income, not because it's some high number, but because it assumes not doing it is FREE. We spend $1.5 TRILLION a year on the costs of child poverty alone. We cut child poverty by 40% for a cost of $100B in 2021. That would have been a $500B GAIN, but Congress decided that saving that much money cost too much.
It's as dumb as saying that buying $100 for $20 is too expensive.
What are we doing? We are 💯% fine spending any amount of money on wars and tax cuts for the rich, but I'm the one who has to defend spending public money in a way that reduces overall costs?
I shouldn't have to convince anyone that investing $100 to get far more than $100 in return is a good deal.
There are so many ways of going about UBI, and thus so many different price tags. It's not a simple answer. But what is simple is understanding that poverty, mass chronic insecurity, and extreme inequality all impose huge costs on our society.
The cost of UBI is lower than the cost of not doing it.
Man, have we seen that phenomenon before. We can’t be too honest about priests sexually abusing young people, because it would be bad for the image of the church. We can’t be too honest about the sexual misconduct of the president, because it would be bad for the party. We can’t be too honest about the out-of-court settlements of the sexual harassment lawsuits of the CEO, because it would be bad for the company and the stock price.
Powerful and corrupt men have an ingeniously sinister ability to turn their personal misdeeds into problems too dangerous for their organizations to confront. Through some sort of corruptive alchemy, trying to hold someone accountable for his actions becomes a betrayal of the cause.
Several Baha’i citizens in Kerman have been held in both detention centres and prisons despite the ongoing wartime conditions. Moreover, reports suggest that since the onset of winter 2026, and in tandem with the nationwide protests in January, no fewer than 20 Bahá'í citizens have been detained in various cities throughout Iran.
According to these reports, numerous cases of arrests, summons, and judicial proceedings against Bahá'í citizens were recorded between January and March 2026. In some instances, those detained were denied contact with their families and access to legal counsel for a period of time; in other cases, no information is yet available on their whereabouts or conditions of detention.
Shakila Ghasemi, a 26-year-old Bahá'í citizen residing in Kerman who was arrested by IRGC intelligence forces on 2 February 2026, remains in detention under unknown conditions.
Shaghayegh Ghasemi, the sister of this Bahá'í citizen, told IHRNGO that although most of those arrested by IRGC intelligence in Kerman have been released, Shakila Ghasemi and Borna Naeimi, both Bahá'í citizens, remain in custody.
Shaghayegh also expressed concern about the conditions of her sister's detention, noting that the family has no information on her exact place of detention. She stated: "The family's requests for information about where Shakila is being held, as well as her release on bail or with an electronic ankle tag, have so far gone unanswered."
Furthermore, she noted: "Two other Bahá'í citizens, Adib Shahbazpour and Peyvand Naeimi, are also being held in Kerman Prison, where Peyvand Naeimi is being kept in solitary confinement."
Peyvand Naeimi was arrested at his workplace on 8 January 2026 and Adib Shahbazpour at his home on 20 January. Borna Naeimi, 29 years old and a father of one child, was also arrested at his home in Kerman on 1 March 2026, with security agents using violence during the apprehension. He has been incommunicado since his arrest.
In the same city, Venus Hosseininejad, Rozhin Hosseininejad, Aylin Sahragard, and Pouyan Gholami, other Bahá'í citizens, were also arrested by security forces during January and February 2026.

Koreans are proud of KPOP DEMON HUNTERS because it’s Korean, not an apocalyptic fantasy set in Japan's Muromach period, not a Pixar film about old age, not a Japanese-themed robot or Miyazaki story.
It is not hard to understand this if you think with a small amount of effort.
