Golden retriever men, goofballs, criminals, and artists. What do they all have in common? ENERGY. Men are largely stingy with energy, to them nothing is really worth doing, they simply refuse to do exist on this plane.

The average human male walks around as if having to breath is a chore he has been unfairly tasked with, his underdeveloped Y chromosome having left him with a lack of connection to life. This is why they would rather live in filth than lift a finger to pick up after themselves, why only a man could conceive of something as horrifying as the gooncave. Most of them teeter on the precipice of s*icidal ideation with the promise of possible ejaculation being the only thing holding them back from the edge.

You can smell how much a man resents being here, how much he longs for the preconsciousness slumber of the spirit womb. And this feature, which most men have due to their poor karma that has resulted in them being born male, is the most fundamental thing that women find unattractive in men. Not being bald, not being fat, not being weird, not being poor. It is the lack of life force that is so unshakably repulsive to women. It is a glaring flaw in the foundation of your very being that women find so repellent that they would rather die alone than be tied to you for life if given the choice. That ugly fat guy you know who’s really funny and always has girlfriend? He simply acts like he’s interested in existing.

Women are so desperate for a man who will do something, that has any semblance of life and movement in him, that a minority of them will even end up fetishizing criminals. It’s all just misdirected longing for something that women know they need in a man- life.

Women don’t like assholes and sociopaths, they like energy, because life is energy and women are tasked with creating new life. This is why the golden retriever man and the criminal, despite seeming like polar opposites on the surface, will both succeed in dating. Because they have something more important in common.

They will succeed though with different subsets of women, those subsets being based on those women’s sense for energy which been calibrated by their respective environments. Not all energy is created equal. A woman raised in a high adrenaline environment will recognize adrenaline as her primary energy and will be attracted to that in men (criminals, sociopaths, keto enthusiasts). A woman raised in an environment based on sustainable energy will recognize the high energy of gregariousness, friendliness, kindness, patience, curiosity, openness, and the love for a sweet little treat in men.

Women are right to reject your rejection of life. Do something or perish.

Post Partum Depression is largely not hormonal, it’s the conditions in which you’re mothering, the lack of support, lack of community, lack of sleep, the isolation, the feeling of being trapped, general anti child and anti mother sentiments that are pervasive in this country. Blaming it on women’s “chaotic” hormones is just the new hysteria and a way to offload what’s a systemic issue onto individual moms who are having a rational response to a society that’s hostile them at a very vulnerable time in their lives

Apple and Google are gradually expanding their use of hardware-based attestation. They're convincing a growing number of services to adopt it. Google's Play Integrity API and Apple's App Attest API are very similar. Apple brought it to the web via Privacy Pass, which Google intends on doing too.

Google's Play Integrity API requires hardware attestation for the strong integrity level and is gradually phasing in requiring it for the more commonly used device integrity level. Apple already has it as a requirement. Over the long term, this will increasingly lock out hardware and OS competition.

The purpose of these systems is disallowing people from using hardware and software not approved by Apple or Google. This is wrongly presented as being a security feature. Banks and government services are the main ones adopting it but Apple and Google are encouraging every service to use it.

Apple's Privacy Pass brought hardware attestation to the web to help with passing captchas on their own hardware. Many people saw that as harmless since few sites would be willing to lock out non-Apple-hardware users. Apple and Google are both likely to bring broader hardware attestation to the web.

Google's reCAPTCHA is planning an approach where they use Privacy Pass on Apple hardware, their own approach on Google Mobile Services Android devices and a QR code scanning system to require an iOS or Google certified Android device for Windows and other systems:

Banking and government services increasingly require using a mobile app where they can use attestation to force using an Apple or Google approved device and OS. Apple's privacy pass, Google's 'cancelled' Web Environment Integrity and now reCAPTCHA Mobile Verification are bringing this to the web.

Current media coverage for reCAPTCHA Mobile Verification misunderstands it and the impact of it. They're bringing a hardware attestation requirement to Windows, desktop Linux, OpenBSD, etc. by requiring a QR scan from a certified smartphone to pass reCAPTCHA in some cases. They could expand it more.

Control over reCAPTCHA puts Google in a position where they can require having either iOS or a certified Android device to use an enormous amount of the web. Google defines certification requirements for Android which includes forcing bundling Google Chrome, etc. It's enormously anti-competitive.

Google's Play Integrity API bans using GrapheneOS despite it being far more secure than anything they permit. It also bans using any other alternative. This isn't somehow specific to an AOSP-based OS. You can't avoid this by using a mobile OS based on FreeBSD instead. You'll just be more locked out.

Google's Play Integrity API permits devices with no security patches for 10 years. The device integrity level can be bypassed via spoofing but they can detect it quite well and block it once it starts being done at scale. The strong integrity level requires leaked keys from TEEs/SEs to bypass it.

It doesn't provide a useful security feature, but it does lock out competition very well. Services requiring Apple App Attest or Google Play Integrity are primarily helping to lock in Apple and Google having a duopoly for mobile devices. Play Integrity is more relevant due to AOSP being open source.

Governments are increasingly mandating using Apple's App Attest and Google's Play Integrity for not only their own services but also commercial services. The EU is leading the charge of making these requirements for digital payments, ID, age verification, etc. Many EU government apps require them.

Instead of governments stopping Apple and Google from engaging in egregiously anti-competitive behavior, they're directly participating in locking out competition via their own services. Requiring people to have an Apple device or Google-certified Android device is anti-competition, not security.

reCAPTCHA Mobile Verification will currently work with sandboxed Google Play on GrapheneOS but it clearly exists to provide a way for them to start using hardware attestation on systems without it. People without an iOS or Android device will be locked out when this is required even without that.

This isn't about security or any missing functionality. GrapheneOS can be verified via hardware attestation. Google bans using GrapheneOS for Play Integrity because we don't license Google Mobile Services and conform to anti-competitive rules already found to be illegal in South Korea and elsewhere.

Services shouldn't ban people from using arbitrary hardware and operating systems in the first place. Google's security excuse is clearly bogus when they permit devices with no patches for 10 years but not a much more secure OS. It's for enforcing their monopolies via GMS licensing, that's all.

Your ceiling light is messing with your sleep and there’s a Harvard study with the receipts.

Researchers at Brigham and Women’s Hospital tested 116 people. One group sat under normal room lighting before bed. The other sat under near-darkness, like candlelight. Normal room lighting delayed the brain’s “time to sleep” signal in 99% of people. Not some. Ninety-nine percent. It also cut that signal short by 90 minutes a night. An hour and a half of your body trying to put you to sleep, gone, just from having the ceiling light on.

Here’s why. Your eyes have cells whose only job is detecting light and telling your brain what time it is. The thing that triggers them most is blue light, which is exactly what those bright white ceiling bulbs blast out. Warm bulbs, the kind in lamps and floor lights, carry way less of it. When researchers tested both at the same brightness, the cool white bulb cut the sleep signal nearly in half. The warm bulb? Zero effect.

A study of 86,772 people published in Nature Mental Health found that people exposed to a lot of light at night had a 30% higher risk of depression. People who got more bright light during the day had a 20% lower risk. Same patterns showed up for anxiety and PTSD. These numbers held even after accounting for sleep habits, exercise, and shift work.

The people killing the “big light” aren’t just going for the aesthetic. They’re accidentally following a sleep and mental health playbook that Harvard has been publishing for over a decade.

Believe it or not, that’s a real research priority that made it through ethics review, funding approval, and publication.

Women’s pain is routinely underfunded, under-researched, and reframed through lenses that center male perception rather than female suffering. When a disease that causes internal bleeding and debilitating pain is treated as an aesthetic curiosity, it tells you exactly whose comfort the system is built around.

since a fuck ton of people dm on why lowercase writing & now some complaints on copying… lemme explain the my thesis on lowercase:

i have a deep disdain for capital letters because uniform text is cleaner, more elegant.. there is no arbitrary hierarchy, no forced structure disrupting the flow.

lowercase removes friction, lets ideas stand on their own. everything exists on the same plane, creating balance, visual harmony, & a kind of effortless cohesion. it also lets your brain process information faster ironically.

i’ve been writing this way since middle school, even in professional emails. when i worked in corporate i would send vp’s emails in all lowercase. people lose their minds over it, mistaking it for laziness when it’s actually a deliberate considered choice. ppl’s frustration only proves the point… which is how fragile their attachment to meaningless formality really is. also sama didn’t invent lowercase writing just like he didn’t invent the transformer.

I may get yelled at for this, but I truly believe it: if you want your home to look nice, you have to refuse to let ugly things in and/or expeditiously remove the ugly things already there

If all the things you own look nice – not fancy, just nice – the whole effect improves

It's maybe never been more difficult to hold this line, because the default item served up to consumers for almost every purchase is ugly and cheaply made

Not to be a freak about it, but it's almost a spiritual discipline at this point for me:

I apply this rigorously, making an effort to slowly upgrade our whole life. It applies to our travel coffee cups, dish rack, spice storage, slippers, door knobs, air purifiers, toilet paper holders, soap dispensers (and the soap!!), dish cloths, kitchen utensils, all tech that enters our home, etc etc etc

I'm not interested in an ascetic existence, but I am interested in pursuing beauty and contentment, which means pursuing a slightly different type of consumerism. Frankly, the result is a tendency towards minimalism. We buy a lot less ~stuff~ than our peers, I think
