Before a Friday night game against West Valley High School, the 57 players from the opposing team showed incredible sportsmanship.

As the players ran onto the field, one by one, they laid an orange rose at Ashley’s feet.

Orange is the designated color for leukemia awareness.

Adamietz was brought to tears and later shared her gratitude on social media, stating that it was one of the best nights of her life. #HIAW 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I used the following as a reply, but no better time than now to ask for your support of Diamond Bearcat baseball. Below is my post;

Thanks. I still think UC fans can help make a difference. Attending games, buying season tickets, donating to the Baseball Development Fund, donating to Baseball NIL, attending the First Pitch winter event prior to the season, participating in the fall golf outing and just spreading the word.

Everyone can do something! Don’t look for someone else to carry your freight. Help accelerate this improvement!

Having a team competing and getting into the summer NCAA Tournament can engage everyone during a slow period. Giving $100 can help make a difference. I really hope fans will take some ownership and be proactive. Don’t expect the administration to carry all the baggage. Do something!

Then let me know because I want to thank you and to let others know that you went the extra mile!
