Man, this is beautiful. A life adorning the gospel.
Listen to what @StevenBartlett—host of one of the world’s most popular podcasts—says to Christian apologist John Lennox.
The guy who has been making alien movies for the better part of five decades claiming that this is the one that will shatter everything we think we know is pretty hilarious. I’m surprised that he didn’t end with “catch my new movie Disclosure Day only in theaters on June 12th”.
Steven Spielberg says his upcoming alien film, Disclosure Day, will have Christians "second-guessing" their beliefs.
"Is God our God only on this planet, or is God a God for every system where there's civilization?"
@Bitcoin_Teddy Haha this may be possible sometime in the future, but definitely not by December of this year. AI still makes mistakes on relatively simple tasks. This is just neat science fiction at this point.
@TumDot@BrockRiddickIFB@FastingFake I’ll grant you that sustainable nuclear fusion may or may not be achievable on earth and may be a waste of resources. The running joke is that it is always 20 years away. However, that doesn’t disprove it as a concept nor does it disprove that that is what is happening in the sun
This is almost certainly my last month using GutHub Copilot. It was a good run, but it is borderline useless now. I burned through nearly half my usage limit in a simple three hour session. A combo of Claude code and Antigravity are what’s next for me in AI assisted coding.
🚨 LATEST: Claude maker Anthropic is calling for a global pause in AI development, warning that models are approaching the ability to self-improve without human intervention.
@QuanticASI Entropy and universal expansion appear to move in one direction so those are two arrows of time. The psychological arrow of time is how we perceive time moving in one direction. I suppose the psychological arrow could be why the other two appear to have one direction though.
@JoshuaBarzon I’d probably go with NASB or NET. The NET isn’t always my favorite translation, but the full annotated version is incredibly helpful sometimes.
@unusual_whales Is this referring to anything specific or did Dimon just wake up and was like “I’m going to insult Brian Armstrong today for no reason.”?
@DoniTheMisfit This connection can only be made in English. In Greek and Hebrew the words for son and sun are very different. Early Christians did not worship the sun by worshipping the son as those two words in Greek are very different. This argument is a textbook false equivalence fallacy.
@beffjezos I mean what he is suggesting is not that far fetched and is probably likely. Google likely wins the AI race due to the data and monetary resources they have to weather an AI winter if it happens.
