The national annual report on SIAMS inspections over the last year by @DrMJ93 was published this morning by @CofE_Education. Good to celebrate the positive, and draw together recommendations to improve impact on children, young people and adults in schools.
Another great summer residential full of playing sports and talking life!
New memories were made, friendships formed and records set!
Who's already waiting for next year?! 👋

One acid test for a curriculum is whether it enables even lower-attaining or disadvantaged pupils to clamber in to the discourse and practices of educated people, so that they gain the powers of the powerful. - Christine Counsell https://t.co/zkxK12h3JG

Don't know whether the 5 mins around 42-47 mins might be useful for someone's RE lesson. Great stuff! @NATREupdate

Here are things that I appreciate about the summer holidays as a teacher:
1) Eating breakfast as a family
2) Getting to cook for the family
3) Getting a haircut on a week day
4) Being able to finish a book in under a week
5) Not using the words spreadsheet, rota or data.
@MorgsEdu This is definitely true. However I would also suggest that students who do this do it because they cannot 'see' what the outcome of other tasks could/should be. We have seen challenge/risk embraced through modelling from teachers and celebrations of work done by previous cohorts.
This morning, I can't help but think again of how important it is for everyone to show this video in RE lessons in September. Thanks @Theosthinktank https://t.co/eNLF2lrakX
