Scenes from last night at UMass Amherst, as an army of riot cops were deployed to brutalize protestors. At least 130 arrests were made. Cops reportedly dragged one student out of a wheelchair to arrest them, & ripped a medics vest off. Fuck 12, free Palestine.

As a UMass alumnus, citizen and veteran, I am disgusted with abhorrent handling of the protests against genocide and the decision by @UMassChancellor to call in a police raid to violently clear the campus. Shame!

Odd things that happened to my bike today…

1.) Rear tire was flat, pumped it up and held with no leaks at all.
2.) My front wheel had the quick release loosened to the point I noticed it while riding. I don’t think it loosened on its own because I’m a chronic over-torquer.

@JimA21754232 @AdkinJayce I was intentionally hit by a driver a little over a month ago, I was shocked when I found out the police report was filed as assault with a deadly weapon. Whether they do anything from here… 🤷‍♂️

@BCarfree @strangerthanblu I did some campaign sign deliveries in the Arden area by bike and that was the last time I think I will ride my bike in that area.

That feeling when you realize you could bike somewhere faster than drive there but the area has zero bike infrastructure so you have to drive.

This is my newfound hobby of avoiding getting hit by drivers.

Also, I promised my wife I wouldn’t bike there…

In recent news, the driver that intentionally ran me off the road into a woodchipper has a new (non-defaced) license plate with current registration and gave me plenty of space when he passed me. I call that one a win!
