@LinuxHandbook Many companies are still not ready for DevOps. Some 3rd party (legacy) applications cannot be maintained in a CI/CD way, so yes, Linux admin still relevant. May be a matter of time of time of course, but for now there is still plenty of demand for classic system admin roles.

@NetworkChuck I feel like certs are something you do to verify your skills. So, IMO, they are either overrated or you should get one that really challenges you. For example, something like LPIC would be overruled by 1 year of Linux experience, but that cannot be said for RHCSA.
