@iamcogs@StegNCheese It seems to be that MLF should start matching Ben and the Bears energy. It might help not blow leads to their oldest rival in big games.
Unless it’s too uncool to lean into a rivalry that makes sports more fun.
That’s a fair point. Like I said, I would put him in the top 10. Herbert on the list but no Love is crazy to me. I just think Love needs to show more but feels like GB Twitter largely seems to excuse some of his flaws and claim he’s already arrived as elite.
The whole “elite” arguing is sorta silly (but fun on Twitter). I’m of the mindset that top 20 QBs can win a SB with the right situation.
We won’t argue that he’s lost twice. We’ll never see eye to eye on that. (Although, Google will tell you it’s 2)
So his 1 loss was in the most important game up to that point in the season? He had the ball last, despite the earlier adversity, and failed to win?
Hes 1-3 in the playoffs and has had some stinkers (eagles game).
I’m just saying - stop forcing people to accept him as some elite QB until he actually earns it. He’s very good and efficient… but you all should expect more. He needs to show a killer instinct to match with his efficiency stats.
But what do I know… I’m just a faceless boob on Twitter
I think Love is a good QB. Honestly, I don’t know how Herbert made that list and Love didn’t. I would put Love in top 10. I just don’t view him as some elite top 5 QB.
My bigger issue is that 99% of GB fan accounts on here thinks he deserves no blame for the WC loss. He deserves some…
Yes, he had a great statistical game but most of that was in the first half. There were a ton of stalled drives in 3Q and a chance to win it on the last play.
My take is that he has not shown he’s a killer... at least not yet. He can light up a stat sheet but he’s not daggering teams in the playoffs.
Also, who cares if he isn’t universally viewed as “elite”. I feel like the top half of NFL QBs can win SBs with the right situation.
I just think once someone is making $55 million a year… you can’t solely point the finger at the rest of the team… esp since he takes up such a large chunk of the cap.
@Peter_Bukowski I just feel like your fanbase points the finger at everyone but Love when things go wrong. He doesn’t deserve ALL the blame for the WC loss but he deserves SOME of the blame.
Rodgers didn’t need all the excuse making. He just… beat the Bears.
CW was an actual second year player. Love is on his second contract making a ton of money.
No rational person thinks CW is a finished product. But he’s on a rookie deal and starting his third year (second in the same system). We will expect more from him when he’s been in the league as long as Love and paid to be a difference maker
Yes, this is true. No one is saying Love isn’t good or can’t win a Super Bowl with the right circumstances. It’s the fact that most GB accounts with these charts try to force feed him to people as elite and claim he’s a top 5 QB.
I’ve seen countless posts essentially saying that NFL players and front offices don’t know ball because they don’t have Love in the top 10.
He’s good and efficient. He’s not scary. He can win a SB. Stop treating him with kid gloves when he can do and should do more.
If you want to live and die by the charts… go for it.
Your last QB didn’t make excuses. He just beat the Bears. We didn’t need charts to believe his greatness. We saw it with our eyes.
The amount of lobbying and excuse making for Love is insane to me. He’s good and efficient. You should expect more from him in those important moments. He’s paid handsomely...he’s not a young QB on his first contract.
He’s 1-3 in the playoffs. He needs to dagger teams if you want people to fear him or consider him elite.
Most definitely but he’s making a literal boatload of money. He’s paid to be a difference maker and overcome adversity. That last play was within a reasonable shot at the endzone.
He’s good and extremely efficient. He needs to show up in those moments to be universally accepted as elite.
But what do I know. I’m just a boob.
Another chart!
It sure hasn’t been helpful for him winning playoff games. He’s what… 1-3 in the playoffs?
He lost the most recent one with the ball in his hands in the last play of the game? Ya know… the one where he dropped the snap, danced around and fired an incompletion.
Hes a good QB and efficient. The league does not fear him (they’ve told you this in the recent lists that dropped). At least not yet…
Yes, his team let him down earlier in game/drive. He’s a QB on a second contract making a literal boatload of money. He needs to overcome those issues and call game. He can’t do that yet.
But… I know the charts help you all cope with the fact that for the first time in 30 years the league does not universally accept your QB as elite.
@drtuliofonseca@coreybehnke I hope everyone in the building keeps that energy… if they start leaning into the rivalry/hatred… they might stop blowing leads to their oldest rival.
@coreybehnke Corey- don’t you think it might serve MLF and the team well if they started talking about it?
Ben is pouring fire on the rivalry and the Bears team is finally responding.
Just a thought… might help a soft team not choke away two losses to their oldest rival…
@caldwellcorner_ Packer fans clown the Bears for living in the past at the same time using a Rodgers clip to hype up a QB that isn’t Rodgers for the upcoming season.
