I saw it live. I went to my grandma’s house to watch it. In the fourth quarter when it started getting ugly she went into the front room of the house because she was “too nervous to watch.” When Stockton hit that shot I started screaming and she came running in. Great memory.
I did not see Stockton's shot happen.
I had given up on the game. I missed the comeback. I went across the street back to my house to shoot hoops in my driveway.
And then suddenly, a sound filled the entire neighborhood. I am not exaggerating. The entire neighborhood started screaming at once.
I sprinted back to my cousins, through their front door, downstairs, and celebrated with my family.
Obviously, actually seeing it live would have been amazing, but I wouldn't trade my experience.
Celebrating the life of our teammate and brother, Shane Knight. It's hard to describe the bond and love I have for these great men, and the love we all shared for Shane. True OG BYU fans can name them all!
How do you offer a separation agreement with NO clause concerning immediately looking for outside employment or maybe more importantly, tampering with current Utah staff?!
Seems like negotiations 101 but I’m not the “AD of the Year” so I’m sure there’s a perfectly good explanation 🤦🏽♂️
Jon Absey — the legend, the original Jazz Bear, & my friend — I love you buddy. May your memory be eternal, dear friend.
Cancer sucks. Thank you to @utahjazzhistory for this video. Such a special soul, everyone will miss you Jon.
Now go Downtown.
Downtown is cool. I stayed at the D for 3 weeks. My Dad flew in town so I had to behave a little bit. So I got a place for a week at the MGM Signatures. A condo.
I only get 5 weeks of vacation a year plus fmla. The MGM Signature it’s too ritzy. I like it, it’s cool, but the fun level dropped off quite a bit from Freemont Street.
I love Freemont. I love the people that work there. Great place to stay.
When I come back though, I am gonna stay in the Arts District. I wanna experience the local’s. I love the local’s. The local’s from every corner of life, that’s what makes Vegas special.
There is nothing quite like a concert at the @SphereVegas !! We saw Zach Brown last week and Kenny Chesney last summer. So much fun!!! The sound and visuals there are insane.
Good for you for not being afraid to try something new. I’ve wondered why some of the local sports radio people in Utah have stayed on the traditional radio instead of just going out on their own to do podcasts and social media content. Way more freedom and opportunities. GL!!
❤️❤️❤️
I’m stepping away from daily sports radio to join GBS Benefits. GBS Benefits is one of the top benefit firms in the country and I’m joining one of the strongest teams. Gordon Brown, Jeff Kluge and Christian Kunz have a combined 75 years experience in insurance. I’ll be the squeaky 4th wheel! I can’t wait to show my team off.
There’s a growing need for innovation to help employers control rising costs in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, which ultimately helps employees save on premiums. My team is excited to work with business owners who want to be aggressive, creative, and strategic about lowering costs, implementing smarter pharmacy solutions, and improving overall coverage for their amazing employees. If you’re a business owner looking to improve, DM me. My team is ready to go.
I’ll still be calling BYU games with the legend @gregwrubell and contributing on The Zone during the football season. I’m grateful for this opportunity and excited for what’s ahead.
Thank you for 19 years of listening.
Thanks to @ScottyGZone and @LloydColezone for 12 great years together.
You’ve all blessed my life.
Friday will be my final day on air.
This is a Phil Collins appreciation post. Gets on stage looking like he just got laid off from an office job he hated but needed and then just delivers this.
