On drafting Omar Cooper Jr. by trading up, some analysts seemed to imply that securing the 5th year option on his contract was the principal or strong deciding factor. Shouldn't the main reason have been to avoid the likelihood of losing him at #30 thru 32?
@Playlikeajet1 Ruckert's lack of development: Don't you think that Ron Middleton's teaching and direction, or lack thereof, is at least partially responsible for a career that's either treading water or drowning?
@Playlikeajet1#Hall_and_AVT
I keep hearing that when Hall went down in Denver, the Jets' ground game died soon after. Can we ignore how instrumental AVT was in the run (and pass) game? On Hall's 62 yd TD run in Denver wasn't AVT right behind him? Hall wasn't the only loss!
@Playlikeajet1
Scott & Glenn!
Will there be a significant difference in Keith Carter's outside zone running scheme from John Benton's? If so, who on the OL men stands to benefit from it?
Also, is Woody the reason the Jets made the Rodgers trade on Mon instead Weds or Thurs?
@e_moore03
0 would have been perfect for you since that's how valuable you became to the Jets. You and MLF deserved each other. OK, he was worse than you, but not by much. ๐๐๐๐
@Playlikeajet1
When Mark Twain said "History doesn't repeat itself but it rhymes", can you see as a case in point: Woody's almost certain interference in any trade for Rodgers or Jackson rhyming perfectly with James Dolan's mismanagement in the acquisition of Carmello?
@Playlikeajet1
If the Jets are looking for a bridge QB whose level of play would have put them in the Playoffs, why doesn't free agent Andy Dalton's name ever come up? The Red Rifle has the proven skills, and durability to move ahead of Jimmy G on the QB wishlist.
@RichCimini
Nagy's work with Trubisky and the Bears serves as a model on how _not_ to develop a young QB. He was stubborn, dogmatic, and unwilling to run a system that suited his QB. Let him stay in KC where he does the Jets no harm!
@Playlikeajet1
How likely would a good organization fire an "executive" (LaFleur) in a key position without first having worked backchannels to be certain that there was at least one suitable and better replacement?
@Playlikeajet1
Can a reset really help Zach if the stage is too big for him? I don't want to pile on, but hasn't he shown that he's fragile mentally and physically (missing games due to injury and poor play)? In NYC is it realistic to count on him ever resurrecting his career?
@Playlikeajet1
The Packers game was a one-off for Zach because
(1) He was playing against his idol ARod
(2) He was probably overawed by legendary Lambeau
Since he won't be playing against ARod or at Lambeau for the rest of the season, let's not draw any inferences from Sunday!

Hi Dr. Stoller,
Now that the bad news about Zach is out, do you think that his torn meniscus and bone bruise were likely a one-off or more probably an outcome destined to happen sometime soon when he taxes his knee as he did against the Eagles?
