Governor J.B. Pritzker's @GovPritzker policies have sparked serious debate over taxes, spending, public safety, and the cost of living. For families struggling to stay afloat, those concerns are anything but political theater. Critics argue that Pritzker's policies have put Illinois on a sinking ship, with taxpayers left bailing out water while the weight of government spending threatens to pull the state further under.
Darren Bailey offers Illinois voters a different direction. His campaign emphasizes lower taxes, fiscal responsibility, public safety, and greater accountability in Springfield.
The USS Illinois may be taking on water in this satire, but the lifeboat represents a different course. The question for Illinois voters is whether to stay aboard the current ship or chart a new direction for the state's future. 🇺🇸🐘

Democrats want you at crisis mode so you can never feel safe, never build wealth, and never have control of your life. They achieve that by releasing criminals onto our streets and importing criminals to destroy your life and replace you. If you never can get your footing again, they can take over power and steal all the money.
This is Canada now.

The video overlay says “This is not INDIA ❌ This is CANADA ✅”
Canada is no longer Canada.
Did you know The Beach Boys actually recorded a song written by Charles Manson, just months before his followers committed one of the most notorious murders in Hollywood history?
It all started in 1968, when Beach Boys drummer Dennis Wilson picked up two young women hitchhiking in California. He had no idea that meeting them would bring Charles Manson into his life.
The women were members of Manson's growing group of followers, and before long, Manson and several of the girls were practically living at Dennis's home in Pacific Palisades.
Charles Manson was an aspiring musician who desperately wanted a recording contract, and having a member of The Beach Boys take an interest in his music seemed like a pretty good opportunity.
Dennis was impressed enough to introduce him to people in the music business, including Terry Melcher, a successful record producer whose mother happened to be Doris Day. Melcher listened to Manson's music and considered working with him, but nothing ever came of it.
Dennis had taken one of Manson's songs, originally titled "Cease to Exist," and reworked it into a Beach Boys recording called "Never Learn Not to Love." The band released it in December 1968 as the B-side of "Bluebirds Over the Mountain."
Manson wasn't happy when he discovered that Dennis had changed his lyrics and taken the songwriting credit. According to accounts from people close to Dennis, Manson confronted him with a bullet and made a chilling remark about how fortunate Dennis was that his children were still safe.
By that point, Dennis wanted nothing more to do with him.
Manson's hopes of becoming a successful musician were falling apart. His relationship with Terry Melcher had also deteriorated, and that connection would soon become part of a much darker chapter in Hollywood history.
Melcher had been living at 10050 Cielo Drive in Los Angeles, a home Manson had become familiar with through his association with the producer. Melcher eventually moved out, and the house was rented to actress Sharon Tate and her husband, director Roman Polanski.
On August 9, 1969, members of the Manson Family entered that home and brutally murdered five people, including Sharon Tate, who was eight months pregnant.
During the murder investigation, Melcher testified about his relationship with Manson and Dennis Wilson. He recalled Dennis driving him home one day, with Charles Manson sitting in the back seat. Dennis had dropped Melcher off at 10050 Cielo Drive, the very house where those five people would later be murdered.
It all started when Dennis Wilson picked up two hitchhikers, setting off a chain of events that would eventually lead to one of the most notorious murder sprees in American history.
This is what AI is made for. Murtaugh is too old for this 💩 and Riggs has to find a new partner. I absolutely love how they brought in every character from that era and even combined two different characters for one actor in a couple different scenes. 🤣🤣🤣💥🔫
A Message to Moderate Democrats 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Disavow yourself from the party of these crazy Leftists. Conservatives do not celebrate anyone's death. Your party has been hijacked by losers like this, Islamists and the DSA! Make your vote count for common sense. DONT TREAD ON ME! 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Whales, particularly orcas, exhibit strong social bonds within their pods. These bonds are crucial for their survival, especially for sick or disabled members.
Sick or injured whales often receive care from their pod. This includes sharing food and protection.
A disabled killer whale in South Africa was observed being fed by its pod, which hunted for food while ensuring the young whale was included in the feast. Similar behaviors have been documented in other species, such as bottlenose dolphins and sperm whales, where they assist injured or disabled members.
Sick whales benefit from staying with their pod because pod members provide protection, care, and support, such as helping them surface to breathe and sharing food. Pods also assist injured or ill whales by keeping them afloat and preventing them from drowning.
Whales exhibit complex social behaviors within their pods, which are groups of related individuals that often share a common maternal ancestor. Pods can contain multiple matrilines, and social bonds are strong, with members relying on each other for survival and engaging in behaviors like babysitting and unique vocalizations to maintain relationships.
Even though I'm having a really good day, so far my day has been surrounded by 💩. I'm quoting a post from earlier today. A documentary on how🧻 is made. It's really not a documentary, it's more of a mockumentary. This comedian really knows how to make you think about💩 and stuff. 🤣🤣🤣
You ever grab a shopping cart and one of the wheels has that flat spot?
Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump.
The faster you walk, the faster it gets.
Now you’re pushing this thing through the store sounding like somebody put a baseball card in the spokes of a bicycle.
And of course by the time you realize how bad it is, you’ve already committed.
Now you’re halfway through the store pushing a cart that sounds like it needs a pit crew.
I've decided to add "playing catch with a beluga whale in the Arctic" to my bucket list. This looks like something out of a dream. 🥰
Beluga whales are some of the most intelligent creatures in the ocean. I can't imagine how amazing this must have been for these guys to experience on a random day. ❤️
On this day in 1825, the Erie Canal opened. New York Gov. DeWitt Clinton boarded the packet boat Seneca Chief at Buffalo, carrying barrels of Lake Erie water, and set off for New York City.
Critics called it "Clinton's Folly." The legislature had committed about $7 million to dig a 363-mile ditch, 40 feet wide and four feet deep, with 83 locks to climb more than 500 feet. Much of the digging was done by immigrant laborers, many of them Irish, using hand tools. When the flotilla reached New York Harbor, Clinton poured the Lake Erie water into the Atlantic in the "Wedding of the Waters." Within 15 years, New York was the busiest port in America.
For me, the lesson is that big, bold projects used to be something Americans actually finished. We could use a little more of that spirit today.

My eyes could not believe what they were seeing. A Ford Model A snowmobile. How awesome is this thing?! Postal carriers used to use these in remote places with bad weather. Some say the moonshiners did too.
Letterman Audience's First Time Seeing Heidi Klum
When you think of the term "Supermodel," who is the absolute first face that comes to your mind? 👑👠 mine is Heidi! She's is so composed here, I never knew this side of Heidi! What a gem. So refreshing to see someone so seemingly authentic, warm, and classy at just 22. Such a beautiful presence, inside and out!

Before she was a supermodel, Cindy Crawford was her high school valedictorian and got a scholarship to Northwestern University. She told Howard about studying chemical engineering and what the experience taught her about societal beauty stereotypes.
Cindy Crawford was the defining face of the supermodel era in the ’80s and ’90s—long before Heidi Klum took the helm. Everyone who’s met her says the photos never do her justice: she’s even more beautiful in person. That rare combination of quiet confidence and genuine inner beauty just makes her presence that much more luminous. via @sternshow
