#update Bear 2.8.2 is here with a fresh batch of bug fixes and a small iOS quality-of-life treat: expand or collapse all your tags in one tap from the Sidebar. Go update now! 🙌
@Reflex567_ Thanks for the suggestion! Image previews are cropped to a standard size rather than keeping the original ratio because some images have unusual proportions that would make previews look quite awkward. Hope that makes sense! 🙂
Best thing I’ve done recently is a simple ‘save_to_bear’ / ‘read_from_bear’ skill where Claude uses @BearNotesApp as a between-session memory.
It’s super simple, lets me work through problems and save my thinking in the note between sessions.
It’s not the sexy ‘tokenmaxxing run 50 agents at once’ approach but for (dare I say it) deliberate building, it’s great.
Thanks @AnthropicAI
And thank you Bear for the simplest WYSIWYG note taker. ❤️
#BearNews We were honored to be invited to @devacademyunina in Naples last week! Our co-founders took the stage to share the Shiny Frog journey, talk about what's next for Bear and a (not so) new app.
Also: we had A LOT of pizza. Naples made sure of that. 🐻🍕
Suddenly everyone is wasting tokens creating markdown editors to deal with AI agents whilst @BearNotesApp with the new CLI and MCP does it in a beautiful and brilliant way
@MaxMustermkru We do have a web version in beta at the moment, check this out! https://t.co/X2nQzjU78R Regarding collaboration, at the moment we don't have plans to add it, but we'll add your vote to it! 🙌
#update Good news! Bear now has an official CLI, Claude Connector, and MCP Server. Build automations, connect your favorite AI tools, or just ask Claude what kind of person your notes say you are. The door is now open.

@NostalgicPiano Thanks for reaching out! We explored adding automatic spacing between Chinese and English/numbers, but too many edge cases made it tricky to get right. We recommend using a third-party tool (some keyboard tools support adding auto space) for now. Sorry we couldn't do better!
@CWrightswold Unfortunately we can't control how third party tools work, but we have made a lot of efforts to prevent such thing happening. That being said, we still highly recommend making regular backups. At the same time we've noted down your request for note versioning. Thank you! ❤️
